Could very well be the next Tacoma. I see ques from the 4runner and Higlander. The next year will for sure be filled with a lot of speculation.

Has a euro style tow hook on it. Hilux and not a tacoma? Front also looks like a highlander.

I'm going to go with Hilux, the high "frame" reminds me of my dad's truck versus mine.

Looks to me a little Highlanderish

Defiantly not the tacoma. They won't share platforms.

    Gag!

Please don't make our trucks look like every other SUV or Sedan in the mall parking lot. Too girly looking (if you ask me - no offense).

I ran across an article but I can't find it again. However, they mentioned some things that might be in the 3rd Gen Tacoma:

    Aluminum body.
    All-wheel drive.
Larger bore 4 and 6-cyl engines.
    A diesel engine option.
    Fully-boxed frame.

Note that they have painted the windows to mask the pillars.

I kinda doubt we'll see aluminum body, AWD, or diesel yet. At least in the first few years of 3rd gen.
Are there any non-ridgeline trucks with fulltime awd?

A couple of the gmc/chevy trucks have awd. But they are usually the really high end Denali versions.

My neighbor has a corolla with OEM projectors. Not sure what year, but seems recent.

I actually prefer the HiLux to the Tacoma. Not only is it seemingly a bit more robust (have you seen the loads they put on HiLux pickups in other countries? Does the HiLux still have a fully-boxed frame?), I like its cleaner lines and less flashy styling. I've never liked the center dash flashiness of the 2nd Gen Tacoma nor its "rakish" fender-wells (make them square or round but not half and half). And the soft rear suspension goes without saying (I finally got around to fixing this on my '06 with four Helwigs). If the HiLux has a sloped hood and sleek look, so be it -- it is there to give better visibility and better gas mileage. I'm not saying that the Tacoma isn't a good truck, just that I think the HiLux is a bit better one and wish it was available in the US.
