I'd never spend a lot of money on silverware. Just like anyone who spends a ton on knives at my work I cut the steaks etc with a $10 knife and its better than the expensive crap my grandparents have.

I actually can prove fruitful. #1. Stops me from fucking with shit around the house that doesn't need to be fucked with. #2. It allows the opportunity for me to intervene when a purchase like this is up for consideration. Had she been alone, and came home with this shit, I would have been "Meh.....more shit to eat food with...Im cool with that".

I feel your pain....Simply because those names sound familiar. We have this fucking Kitchen aid mixer thing, copper color of course, sitting the corner of our kitchen, and she has only used it to make mashed potatoes. This thing weighs as much as a skid plate. Been afraid to look up what it costs.

I went to a Target this evening with my wife - I only needed contact solution. She had no list of needs...

Still somehow couldn't get out of there for under $100

I got even. Tonight, we had to stop at Bed Bath and Beyond, and we "Accidentally" pulled into a Home depot parking lot, where she ended up.....well.....video taping me in an electric wheelchair, then buying me some shit for my tools box. :)

Fortunately, she sees the benefit of off road mods. As for our weding, she knew that I WOULD NOT enter into a wedding with debt from it. She wanted a fancy foo foo weding, and I simply said "Fine.......as long as there is no debt from it the moment I say "I do". The truly amazing thing is.....SHE DID IT! Everything was paid ahead of time, and after the wedding was over, we were hit with one 1500 dollar bill for the bar tabs, and misc taxes from hotels, and travel. And the wedding was VERY nice, if I don't mind saying.

We spent a shit ton on our wedding... Leading up to it I was upset.... But It was the best night of my life! I'd do it all over again! We don't have any debt from it but it was a big chunk...
All our friends and family say it was the best wedding they had ever been too and still say it so it's nice to hear.
It's seems like every other day she's coming home with a home goods bag or TJ bag... Or the UPS boxes at the door!!!

Ours wasn't cheap, but she negotiated with business owners, and traded advertising fo discounts. For example, the place we had our reception at, charges 20,000 bucks for 50 people with food. Drinks optional extra. She got it for 5 grand, including Fillet Mingnon and chicken dinners, open bar. They even had a "Special" bar for me, the best man, and groomsmen before the wedding :)

Worst concept ever was when Walmart became a grocery store and everything fucking thing else in the world store. Send wife out to get groceries, comes home with waaaaaaay more shit then we ever needed totally unrelated to groceries.

Hobby? We had to attend classes. As far as "liking" the members, we get paid extra for that. Anytime we say something nice to a member, we get paid about 14 loonies (Canadian) which is equivalent to about 4 hundredths of a cent.
