I've searched for days now and every time I get close, someone says they have 5100s at 1.75, but they really have a 3" lift, or they have a 1" block in the rear.

Anyway, this is my 3rd Tacoma, but it somehow seems more level already than the other 2, or maybe I'm just imagining it. I had a 2010 and a 2013, and now have a 2014. I've always leveled the front with billies at 1.75 but I'm concerned that I will end up nose high with the 2014.

And so...does anyone have pics of a 2014 with 5100s set at 1.75 with no other lift mods? Thanks!

This was prior to any rear lift. It was noticeably higher in the rear when new though.

^ Is that first picture with 5100s in the front at 1.75 and no rear lift? The 2nd picture looks like all stock.

    Thanks!

EDIT: Oh, and I just noticed you are 2013. My '14 looks like a different stance stock for some reason.

Check your rear springs. If you have 4 leafs, it should be the same. 1st pic is just 1.75 with no rear lift. 1st pic is just factory.

Measure the front and the rear. See what the difference is.

Yeah, I do have 4 leaves in the back. I'm wondering if they beefed up the front springs for '14.

1.75 no other mods. 4 factory leafs in the rear. 265/75/16

Measure your stock center hub to fender on front and rear. it should be 20" & 22". 1.75" will level it out perfectly...its not a guessing game.

Your trucks look great. Like I said, I've done it twice before, this truck just looks different for some reason. Probably just being overly cautious for no reason. I'll go measure it again, because the difference front to back was not really all that much, but maybe the ground wasn't level at that time.

    Here's what I get...all kinds of crazy

    RR 22.25 LR 22.625
    RF 20.625 LF 20

I'm going to go with 1.75, but it looks like I will be .125 (1/8") high on the right, and .875 low on the left. I'm not worried about the lean to the left much.

    Clazzio seat covers,
Educate me on installing 5100s. Is it a job someone with some mechanical ability can do in his driveway?

    Years ago I used to replace shocks ... '67 & '73 Mustangs ... '71 Duster ... they were straightforward.

I don't want to get in over my head ... ending up getting pissed off.

Having said that ... any tricks?

I've used this method twice. It's really quite easy.

I've also done the method above. It is pretty easy, but I recommend having a helper. It took me 2 hours with one other guy.

I have a slight right side lean too, it is barely noticeable to me. Nobody has ever noticed it.....but it seems to go away when the gas tank is empty.

if it bothers you ...toytec makes a 1/4 " plate.

I appreciate all the compliments on my Tacoma..I researched and worked long and hard to get the right look and functionality for me.

Came out pretty much as expected. It will probably settle in a little as I drive it more, but here's the new specs

    RR 22.5 LR 22.625
    RF 22.5 LF 21.75

Despite the 3/4 difference right to left, I can't really see any lean with the naked eye.

Oh, and it rides SO much better. I never really think the stock truck rides bad until I add the Billies in. It feels much tighter and handles way better. The ride is much beefier, if that makes any sense.

Thanks everyone, this is exactly tine info I was also looking for. My truck is a daily driver with occasional use for hauling. (homeowner that can't justify 2 vehicles) I wanted to level the truck and get a better ride without breaking the bank. This looks like it is the ticket and I could always put an AAL, bilsteins and/or airbags on the back.

Came out looking really good....like I said...nobody can notice the slight lean. The 5100 make a HUGE difference is the ride. Takes away the spongey-ness. Doesn't bounce or give while turning. Firm off-road, but nice and smooth in the city & slight bumps.

Nice looking country/scenery, you have there in the background.
