My brother has Verizon and he broke his iphone. well he was still under his 2 year contract so he could not upgrade. instead of getting a POS refurbed phone he just bough a brand new one and started a new contract. but he is doing it like your friend did and is making payments on it, i think he got a 5s and is/was going to pay like $500(maybe less don’t really remember what he is paying)

it works kinda like a truck payment. Instead of paying the full price of the phone at one time you make that price payments.

I'm still okay with the 2 year contracts its what i had with my two previous phones and it worked out fine.....and i wasn't exactly gentle on either of those two phones.

*knock on wood* the 5s holds up for me....so far the only issue has been the lifeproof case falling appart :/

Those were the days  I was still rocking a flip phone until about Fall of last year. Technically i had an Android before that (POS LG optimus or some shit) then i said fuggit and bought a flip phone. Then i said fuggit again and bought an iPhone about a year later.

I had a cheapo samsung muisc flip phone for two years, destroyed it and bought a Motorola Quantico flip phone and had it for almost four years before i bought this iphone. I relentlessly beat the piss out of that motorola. I remember the day after i got it....i was telling my buddy about how durrable it was supposed to be....(bad idea) he took it out of my hand and threw it against a bank of lockers about half his best speed. It put a little dent in the locker....phone was still fine for all that time. I actually liked having a flip phone...but will obviously never go back bcuz #applemasterrace #ftw

I have NEVER turned it on. Apple aint getting my fingerprint :p

My first phone was a Motorola flip phone back in the day lol back when Nextel was still around. My friends and I thought we were the shit talking to eachother on our cell phone/walkie-talkie's. I loved that thing.

As much as I want a phone that has come out between August-October to be sure I get the best performance, I think I'm going to get the Galaxy S5.

I've always liked them, don't feel cheap to me :notsure:

Plus the water-resistance and dust proof is a nice feature.

The new HTC 1 (M8) is a nice looking phone. But some of the features that it's lacking is why I don't want it.

The only phone I like purely for looks is the Motorola Moto X coming out this month...

But, again, it has features missing that I really want...

I have my phone in a case 99% of the time anyways, so looks aren't high up in requirements of a phone for me.
