    Although you might not see them, you should shoot since the longer exposure just might turn something up for you :D

    I managed to see the lights last night. They had the same form as above, but were plain white and very dim. I'm just south of Bangor Maine for vacation and expected to see more than I did, but I'm glad to have seen them at all. Too bad I didn't have a camera with me that was worthy of capturing the lights though.

    Yeah I was really disappointed with the 1/4000 top speed and the 1/200 sync speed. Along with the scene crap in a fx camera. Then designating it a D750 where it doesn't even belong in that series following the D700. It's more of a D600 upgrade but I'm sure that would have killed the 600 line doing that. That flip screen on a fx is just ridiculous. Not to mention the 6.5 fps in the D700 line when the D700 did 8 fps with the grip attached and this one has basically just a battery holder for $300+. I was really hoping for a D700 upgrade to move to a full frame camera but this isn't going to cut it. At the price point it's at you might as well go for a D800.
