Sick and tired of people calling this shit for lifting ass fuckery boot camp stuff crossfit... All these classes and shit, ain't no fucking crossfit. Most crossfit guys will agree with me when I say that what people call crossfit today is not what it was when the military started doing it like 6-7 years ago.

People are confusing crossfit with HIIT and boot camp and calling it crossfit...and that's why its getting a bad name. If it was the bossfit crossfit it was back in the day, and it maintained its roots, I might like calling it crossfit...but its not.

Crossfit is far from what the videos of this thread portray...

But the vids in this thread are what a large percentage of people actually call crossfit.

Crossfit isn't any one thing. It's a hodge-podge of every type of fitness thrown under one Trademark. Oly lifts, power lifts, gymnastics, running, kettlebells, rowing, etc.... People have been doing certain aspects of "crossfit" forever. Someone just moved in, combined them all together, trade marked it, and now is collecting from it.

It appeals to the mediocre athletes, or gray man. People that have never been the best at anything. Now it's made them mediocre at everything, giving them a one-up on the people that used to be better then them. Which is why they love it so much, talk about it 24/7, and buy into the hype. Just what Glassman wanted.

    I don't haha
Who the fuck cares if you're better than someone else? Obviously you do.
I personally would rather be good at a bunch of things than the best at one. I totally get the discipline and commitment of being good at something. Go do some crossfit and see where you rank. Just like if someone who does crossfit goes into a bench competition. Two different things. There are a lot of d-bags in crossfit just as there are gym rat muscle heads.

Also, crossfit is harder no doubt. Maybe they wanted to push themselves even more :stirthepot:

So...you think crossfit today is what it was back in the early stages?

He's right, its a trademarked conglomerate of all kinds of shit now, thrown together by coaches that have no idea what's going on. You watch these clips and the coaches aren't even stepping in until after someone goes full retard! He said it gives people the chance to be mediocre (not good) at everything.... And that's true!

I thought crossfit was going to keep my strong and fast, but also at 6'1", I don't wanna be 170 lbs....so I stopped what I was doing, beefed up to 195, and I'm still strong, fast and healthy...without the labeling of anything except health and fitness.

A lot of these guys talk about crossfit as the end all be of fitness and that's not the case as I've discovered in my own life.

Nothing is the end all be all... That's my point. there are extremes to each "style" . All I see is f crossfit, that shits gay, all you do is post your results from your WOD then you have guys on here taking selfies of their arms after doing curls and posting their reps and weight lmao.

Fuck crossfit. I do circuit training when I have the opportunity. Also, crossfit can cause muscle damage from the repeated/improper lifting techniques. Ya know, Rhabdo.

That's incorrect, you're assuming whoever does crossfit does it wrong which is t the case. There ARE people that do it wrong as we've seen in videos posted prior. Improper techniques are done in all types of lifting when people don't know what the fuck they are doing.

Everyone listen to this guy he clearly knows everything.

Just so u know anything repeated improperly is probably gonna cause muscle issues even your beloved high rep bicep curls to failure... So all crossfit is repeated improper technique movement?

You clearly don't know much about rhabdo either...

Sorry I only chime in on the crossfit arguments when someone says something really stupid...back to the sidelines

Soooo much crossfit butthurt again. This is why I make fun of it so much. Because it's so easy to rile up the crossfitters. Easy target, cheap fun.

No butthurt just giving back what you guys put out. I think it's funny how riled up you guys get :)

If I had more time id post a bunch of funny lifting videos of meat heads taking selfies in the mirror. Some of guys must be computer nerds posting shit so fast! Hahaha
