97 tacoma idles high

so a few weeks ago i got my truck back from having the head gasket replaced and ever since i got it back, the idling seems to have switched, as in, cold start it idles around 800-900 rpms, and when its warm it goes up to 1600-1800 rpms. Thats when its in park. When i put it in gear, it drops back down to 800-900 rpms but i can tell the truck is trying to idle higher. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

you try unhooking the battery so it can relearn the idle.?
i would try that

 

i probably will. i was thinking maybe a vacuum line is crossed somewhere?

 

It's the temp sensor on the front top of the intake manifold. Less than $20 but hard to install.

 

i thought that had something to do with it starting. Mine starts fine but it just idles really high
