Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
Thems are ATO Bars....They will be for sale Nov 2 when I get my new SOS Bed Rack from Eddy in...If you want them we can work a deal.

They are an 8" Rise and Brent was kind enough to help weld the Jack mounts on there! Open the bed rail up for mo stuff!

Makes sense. Just a little trick I use. Get some of the braided loom. Put it over the harness. It makes the whole thing smooth as butter going through grommets. Leave 4 inches over the end of it so you can attach it to an antennae or something else . Don't forget, theres a 'nipple' on the grommet right under the harness. It is there for additional wire to be added. Just cut it off/ open. Theres a pic in my for sale thread in the OP at the bottom.

    Here - This pic.

    agege3ep_7bee7fd9c9ba8f646b8bac37497a1747b9aadf94.jpg

I use my truck antennae and some tape to do most of the electrical pulling. So much better than a hanger. Plus, no added weight to my tool bag!

That pic was before I removed all the other stuff in there before I got ahold of the guys truck for the install. Clean, clean, CLEAN now.

Nope. Seems like folks like Flush or a bunch of guys have ordered 8"/9" rise for RTTs...

I just looked at the op before. Just checked the rest of the posts. 8" definitely looks best.

Badass build man! I love the height of the RTT with bed bars! This is the exact height I needed to see before I get my rack built with a future Tepui purchase ;) So 8" rise I assume is the height from the bed rails?

Yup 8" is perfect for being cab height on the second gen. I recommend you check out SOS if you are thinking of a bed rack. I just had him build one up in 8" and it's gonna replace the ATO bars I have now.

Good deal! It helps the MPGs a bit having it cab high...I get better gas mileage with it on then off that's for sure! Helps keep the air moving over that Dirty Five spare hanging back there!

Nice rig!! Love the back bumper. I will be ordering he same one some time next year. What did you do about the back up camera being covered by the spare tire?

Sadly I love my bumper but would not recommend Brute Force Fab solely based on the unrealistic lead times and poor communication with Billy. If he would be a bit better at answering a phone, an email and giving you a timeline that was even within 6 months of being true then I would recommend him because the quality of the bumper is top notch!

After having seen the New ATO in person I would also shy you away from that bumper as well. It's trash. It is very poorly designed and it will just be a PITA for ownership.

I do recommend Tyler/Satin over at Pelfreybilt and Eddy over at SOS Concepts (Localish). Both of them are smaller operations but have amazing customer service and will build you exactly what you want, do it on time and are people that are really involved with TW and Tacomas.

As far as the camera goes, since I have my spare on the driver side my camera is less blocked than if on the more common passenger side. It is still blocked but usable for stuff that the back of the truck might whack to about 2 foot out. I also like the tire on the driverside since it is a blind spot any ways I lose less rear vision...At least until I added a Low Pro bed bars and an RTT...Now I just watch the mirrors and the camera a lot. I have been thinking of ways to relocate the camera but I haven't figured it out yet since I want the new camera to plug into the stock loom with an OEM plug...I am going to tackle that one soon!

Hope that helps. Little long winded but when there is 1500 bucks on the line you should be happy and know what you are getting!

Thanks for the info!!! I also have been thinking of setting up my rear for a bit more travel. How do you like the shackles and shackel flip kit?
