PS4 / Xbox One... Reviews in Progress

I think I have the Cydonia, but it is similar in spec to the one I have been using. Maybe need to switch and level it up. I am up to level 13, chores getting in the way of playing. My hands start cramping if I play too long anyway.

The only difference is the blue cydonia has more upgrades. That's the one I'm looking for now until I pick up a legendary. I treat Destiny as a loot driven game much like any MMO or Diablo.

I'm really kind of surprised game spot gave it a 6?

 

How does crucible work? If i walk in there as a 16 will i get demolished? I guess the question is do they have matchmaking based on skill? Im trying to avoid PVP but it seems to get the good loot i have to do it for a bit.

 

No everything is capped. A level 5s guns are the same as a 26s.. its 1/3 skill, 1/3 timing, and 1/3 if you run with others

 

You can match up with any level. While level disadvantages are disabled (a level ten can kill a level 20 just as easy), higher levels obviously have more time in the game for skill though. iron banner is exempt from level disadvantage.

gotcha, thanks for the responses guys. This game has actually exceeded my expectations. Now i just have ot find a group to do strikes with.

 

I've just done strikes with randoms and have had decent luck. Haven't met anyone with a mic though, but nobody has quit one yet.

 

Ah, I've actually got 2 green Cydonias. I've got a blue pulse rifle I am going to try for a while. I get all excited when I see loot drop and go racing after it like it will disappear or something.

I haven't checked the reviews, but 6 ain't right in my book. I am thinking 8.5 right now, but playing the heck out of it (for me, anyway).

 

I keep thinking I need to do something different -- I went with the Sony Gold headset (liking it) and have a mic, but I haven't heard anyone talk yet.

 

I have the same headset. I've only heard friends talk, so i know its not the headset. I just think everyone plays without them which i hate. I like teammates who use callouts.

 

I bought one of those the other day to take to work and the chat wouldn't work properly. Finally got it working but it was hit or miss if it would work. Without chat it sounded great but I ended up taking them back. I sold the Xbox yesterday so I'm taking my 2 tournament headset up to work. They work perfectly.

I haven't heard anyone talk if I pug. But my friends and I call out everything we see.

 

8.5 yeah... I agree with that. There is room for improvement. There almost always is but I am loving the hell out of it right now. I love loot driven games though.
