Yeah, the guy has had my $300 since August 12th. To answer the other question, I was just ordering a 10 inch sub in an enclosure and an amp mounting board.

It wasn't like I was ordering some type of custom stuff...

 

Honestly their stuff is overpriced and doesn't look that good either. Mr. Marv is the way to go!!!

Since this is going to completely miss my Labor Day weekend project schedule, I would just like to get a refund and go a different way. The guys on Tacoma World recommended someone else. To be honest, they did in the beginning but Octane151 gave you a good writeup so I thought I would give it a go. I just told my 14 year old son we wouldn't be doing the truck upgrade this weekend and he was completely bummed. Can't blame him. I was too.

Anyway, since you seem to have supply chain problems, how about you just refund my money and I'll go a different way.

At least he's attempting to reconcile the situation. He could have just given you your money back but instead he's giving you the box for free. I'm not saying that's what I how I would have handled it but it could have been worse I think.

 

Well, he is actually offering to send me an unpainted Amp mounting board for free, not the box or sub. Problem is I have already paid him. So now he needs to get me my stuff (which is proving to be incredibly hard for him to do) and send me a refund. We'll see but it has already been a month for products he told me he had in stock...

(BTW: The only reason I am sharing this "soap opera" with everyone on here is because when I was getting ready to buy, I looked for posts both for and against vendors in this space. So instead of saying "he sucks" or "they're great!", I thought I would share some of the details so the next guy could make his own decisions)

 

Nope Chris, that's not it. I just wanted my stuff. When I couldn't get it, I asked for a refund. He said "sorry for the trouble, I"ll send you your stuff and refund one of the items for your trouble".

I am fine with that but a month later, I have neither.

I have to give Marv five stars***** in the communication rating= Always available by phone or text. Said what he did did what he said. I gave Marv and open ended order-I had no completion date and it took a while cause he really is gearing up for some serious production.
I give Marv five stars***** in the finished production rating. My decks and box exude crafstmanship.
I give him five stars***** in shipping and packing rating. My goods arrived in the tightest, most carefully packed box, I have ever seen.
I have to take out my temporary sub box and decks and install the real stuff soon. I have no doubt that the sound will exceed my expectations.

I know he will soon be ramping up business but I also know he will not do it in a way that detracts form the diligence and perfectionism he requires for his products.

Im glad i had a great exp with TT. But i bought off their ebay store so i dont know if that made the difference. Order the dash kit (textured) he emailed me within the day that it was on back order and i asked him if he could just send and untextured one and he did and i got to me within a couple days. Its a cool kit, it came with a set of tools.

 

Glad I stumbled across this thread.

 

Who is Marv? I was looking into buying some products from ********* but I'm having second thoughts now. Everyone is praising Marv but I can't figure out who he is. Please help!
