I typically get a Blackstone labs report, or oil sample analysis done at the first oil change on every new vehicle I purchase. Nothing more than to get a baseline on the engine break-in and such.

Was wondering if anyone here has got this done on their 1GR, V6 engines, on the 2nd gen Tacoma. Would be interested to see posted results, so I could and others can compare what normal wear for this motor looks like. (Of course not that there is anything to worry about) I'm just a mechanical nerd that way.

I have a couple posted a bobistheoilguy.com, Search for 09 Tacoma V6 in the Used Oil Analysis section. Break in and tapering down of wear elements will take a while, you will notice changes when you swap oil brands as well. Fram Ultra filters are very good, I use Wix until my stash is gone and then going to Ultra's.

Great thanks, I've always been paranoid ever since I ran an analysis on my old. '13, EcoBoost and compared it with others on a forum. My readings were notably higher or elevated, when compared to other trucks. That truck ran flawlessly and never burned any measurable amount of oil, but I was always worried in the back of my mind.

Would like to just know for peace of mind.
