Haha yeah I wouldn't do that. I know no one in here wants a 4banger. Why u think I'm the only one now? Haha and I'm surprised you still have your truck. I figured you'd be ballin in a 15 wrx by now

Shiiiiit, I did almost trade it for an 05 sti back in may. lol. But the more I drive this thing the more I love it. I've contemplated trading it for a 4banger access cab 4x4 but I've put so many damn miles on this thing that I'm just gonna drive it until the wheels fall off, then probably rebuild it (with an extra axle ;))and do it again.

Haha oh I know you've thought about it. That's all you talk about. Lol but there's nothing like having a truck, especially if it's one you enjoy being in. I could see you in a 2.7 just cause you drove a 4banger. Most people have a problem stepping down but I find it easy to stay since I've always been here since day 1

Yea, I'm looking at going with 315 km2's, 4.56's and an arb locker soon, and then beginning to have some "break shit fun". I love having the 4 doors and the power over a 4cyl since I've come from built and boosted 4cyl cars, a big v8 f150, and a built z, but the more I think about it a 4cyl manual sounds awesome. I'm just torn between the two

I'm really starting to wish I would have went with 4.88s but that's also because my plans have started to change for my build

My plans for my build aren't too insane... yet. But my dilemma is that I drive from Knoxville to Nashville 1-2 a month at least so I need to keep some highway mpg and I'm not too worried about power
    Suggestions?

My plan is 4:56 front and rear on 35's.. seems to be the most common happy medium spot

I drive a lot of highway about 10 over if no one is around and get about 15-16 and average 2700 rpm
I believe it is a good medium but I'm gonna be stepping up to 36/37 tires and I'm sure I will be happy with 4:56, but I really like the extra torque for a lot of the stupid stuff I do haha

Ok so your problem won't be solved with switching trucks because u aren't planning on building a gas saver. Most people on here with a v6 and stuff done to it get between 14-16 mpg. I average 18. I haven't reset this since I got back from Windrock so it's on a couple month average

    a9343c941a55815ce58eb5b68bd3b83a_725a8315d3032bb539cc78120866a89339cb6917.jpg

But I get better gas mileage around town then on the interstate because I do 75-80 mph and I'm at 3200 at 80 so I get 15 on trips I take combined with the extra weight and stuff. If I ride around 55-60, which is what highways around here are, I get consistently 22-24.

But overall there's not a significant advantage to having the 2.7 unless you keep the truck stock. I always averaged around 24 mpg when my truck was stock with only a drop in filter and 32 KM1s.

When do you do this stupid stuff? I must always miss that ....

Did not make the purchase because I may actually drive up there to get everything installed at once. Labor price was not that bad and probably beats anyone local.

X2 and do you mind me asking price? Local guy to me said around $1800 for front and rear 4.88's because he can't get 4.56 gears for my truck. (They only use Yukon gears)

Off topic but what mount is this? I got a windshield suction cup thing from the last GB but it's not what I had in mind, I am liking this though.

Front and rear gears were something like 1100-1300. But I'm also getting lockers. Still undecided on front locker. I can get the true trac for 475.00 I think is what he said and the detroit like levi has for almost 600.00
