The points do in fact matter, as there is a selection committee deciding what teams get into the playoffs. That's why you don't see ANY team letting up in the second half. In the past most of the coaches had some class wouldn't go for it when they were already up 30 points...

This playoff system is just the first step in the right direction

A 3 point loss to a struggling UCLA team without it's starting qb and a blowout loss at home to BYU. Ok.

I think it's funny that y'all keep trying to convince us that Texas is bad. Right now they are bad none of the Texas fans in this thread are saying otherwise.
But we won't always be bad.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I'm excited to see them get better. And I was glad my team was the nail in the coffin for the old regime.

Strong seems like he's taking them in the right direction. And an injury really helped you guys get on track. As long as Ash stays out...

Nothing's impossible. Notre dame is playing well but I'm not sold that they're as good as you think they are. I also don't think Fsu is the best team in the country either.

well...I never stated how good I think Notre Dame is. Who do you think is better than FSU? I don't see anybody a clear number 1 so it may as well be the noles as they are reigning champs. I know Notre Dame will not beat them big but FSU is due for a loss and they aren't playing quite as well as they did last year.

You think notre dame is good enough to beat fsu. I don't. I think right now Oregon looks like the best team, then Oklahoma. But there's not much between them and the next 3-4 teams. We'll know more in the coming weeks.

    Head unit. That's it.
After Texas A&M spanked USCe, they are looking pretty convincing. Although Lamar and Rice don't amount to much, that first win is more impressive now that USCe beat UGA. However, that stupid nickname must be dropping them in the ranks....

Until they play some more SEC teams I'm still not sure just how good they are.

As long as Ash stays sidelined Swoopes will only get better. He is making some rookie mistakes right now but he made way less in the UCLA game than he did in the BYU game. He needs to learn to get rid of the ball more when he is flushed if he has no where to go but his accuracy is pretty good. He seems to get a little nervous towards the end but its to be expected of a first year player. I think they will finish strong this year and minus the loss of Harris, the office will be pretty stout next year. They seriously need to work on their run defense tho otherwise everyone will just be averaging 200+ a game.

Man to Man FSU has the studs but I do think Notre Dame can pull off the upset. I just wish Notre Dame could let the cheaters play again.
