ha no not really, but I grew up in an alcoholic family and personaly thinking drinking should be more illegal then marijuana, that shit will fuk up your life and your body! but thats just my 2 cents, really I say let pepole do as they will as long as they dont hurt others by doing so!

I am definitly against it. Just because a soldier, sailor, airman, or marine IS old enough to enlist, doesn't make them mature enough. What is 3 more years for someone to wait? Its a responsibility issue. I've seen it too many times.

If you dont like it, oh well. Thats just what I think. Look how many problems we (the military) have with young, lower enlisted soldiers with all of this new found freedom. You cant really argue with statistics.

Let's see, when I was in the active Army I could drink at EM clubs but then when I got out I couldn't drink because I wasn't 21 yet. Couldn't drink a lot anyway because they didn't pay us enough.

I vote yes, it never hurt me or any of the other guys that I know of. Just escape from the usual harrassment and blowing off some steam.

When I enlisted, it was legal for us to drink at any age as long as we had an active duty military ID card. This changed a few years ago when a lot of states started adopting a 21 years old drinking age. I believe as many of you do, that as long as the military member can do their job, drinking age shouldn't matter. When it does affect their work, no matter what age, they need to be disciplined heavily.

I was stationed in Italy when I was 18 and was 100% legal. It was awesome. However, I have seen "yougins" over there and now stateside and i will tell you what. The amount of discipline problems here compared to back in Europe is astounding. Almost none hear.

Cant even count how many damn times I came in in Blues for ARI's.

Point is. 18 year olds fresh out of school cannot handle them selves. I understand the old enough to fight old enough to drink theory and respect those that believe that's how it should be. But a dead Airman, Soldier, Sailor, Marine is not gonna be of much use anyways. If you get what I'm saying.

I think the drinking age should be 19 for the sole reason that it excludes 99.9% of high school students.

Ive been a Marine for 10 years and support lowering the drinking age for military members but only if they consume the alcohol on base and stay on base. Some of these fine ladies and gentlemen still lack the maturity to make proper decisions regarding alcohol.

On post and ucmj if they leave post after drinking.
Should stay 21 anywhere else. But like someone said if they want it they will get it, that includes dope ect. Most 21 yo arn't mature enough to drink but it happens. I think that after you have say 3 drinking violations that it should be againts the law to drink alltogether!!
