Thanks man! Going to run without it for a bit, just for the hell of it.

And yeah, I was sitting at that intersection going "hey, that's a pretty clean rig." before I realized it was you.

    Looking good man

My tailgate broke today. I can't open it. I almost had to cut my tonneau cover at fedex to ship a skid plate. I was able to wedge a screwdriver in and pop the cover up. Dumb.

I originally saw it on CT as well, but yes I just popped the old ones off and wedeled these down tell they fit. It was straight forward what needed to be done.

I just used the factory 4runner tweeters though, so the sound quality didn't really improve much...

Right?! The list is getting long. No power steering, leaking front diff, random check engine lights, sometimes the turn signals don't work, blew a speaker a couple days ago, and broken tailgate are things that need attention now.

I'm looking for a cheap GM DD truck so I can save the wear and tear on this.

Knock on wood but haven't broke anything yet. I am go wheeling this weekend and plan to run Gumby's Rocks. This is where DblCab blew up his rear diff plus the rain will make things slick so we'll see.

So this has NOTHING to do with a Gen 1 Taco, but it is bad ass anyway, and the same info would apply if I were to do it for my truck. I brute forced (cold chisel, hammer, huge flat blade screw driver) an ignition cylinder out of a junker SUV this weekend to replace a damaged ignition cylinder in my daughter's SUV. Not a Toyo. Amazing PITA - almost impossible it seemed, but I did it. Intact. Brought the entire cylinder to the dealer and they cut me a new key based on the junker VIN. new key works perfectly in the junker cylinder. This weekend I replace hers with this.

A new cylinder is about $200. This cost me buckets of sweat and $5.99 to the scrap yard. Oh and $2 for the new key. Take that new parts! lol.

Trust me, if you have ever replaced an ignition cylinder you know how rough it can be. Couple that with no ignition key to depress the lock pin (which you need to keep functional), and no power to run a cutting tool to get the shear bolt off. And the center punch at 3 o'clock counter clockwise on the shear bolt head to walk it off - nope. Was not doing it. Hence the cold chisel, hammer, etc.

I am an f'ing DIY king now! Muahahahahaha. OK, well, maybe not that, but sure feels good!

DblCab messaged me about this weekend. I'm not prepared for that, but hoping to go to river falls.

    plasti dipped wheel caps,
hey this is probably a stupid question, but I don't know. What is the purpose of the clear corner lenses? I went driving last night and noticed they don't come on.
    thoughts . . . .
