Uwharrie wheeling camping 9/13-14/2014

To my understanding we are going to go up this next weekend and ride some. We didn't get there till late and wanted to do more then we did. Plus not supposed to rain so should be nice and dry.

Do not fear with stronger gears

 

It'll happen at some point but it's gonna take some serious money to get up it. I still need the front diff, tires locker, new winch line and UCAs before I try again.

You can't cut that end off the winch? And yes the front locker was like a light from the sky pulling me up lol

 

With all the rocks we put there to get down. It should be easy haha

 

In the dry is a very different ball game. As long as you drive with sense the ledge is a cake walk. Seen many mild to damn near stock rigs get up it.

 

Those will be long gone.

Hell yea it was a long ass day. And I guided your rig down in the dark lol

 

Once over the ledge y'all were home free. Don't let that hill intimidate you, I went up the left side open with barely any effort before the unfortunate gear mishap...winch was important for me to get over the ledge that time though

 

I have made that ledge my bitch from the first time to the last time!!

 

The real accomplishment was the teamwork that occurred to get everyone home safely. That was good, make you proud to be an American and Tacoma World member, shit.


For those that stayed and made that happen, thank you very very much.

your truck is much more hooked up bud then most of us

 

By the end of this season you should be able to take a stock truck up it to a certain extent. We are having to back fill with rifraft to help cure the erosion issue and cut down on bypasses for the first ledge.
