    But your locked up front so you have that added stress on the cvs when they get bound down

    That and I'm running super-aggressive tires, but regardless, they'll pop anyway if you hammer on them enough. Sean (Southern01Taco) wasn't locked in front and he regularly popped CV axles with 33s. (Of course, he was running 33x10.50 Boggers, but I'm sure that didn't have anything to do with it. :D)

    Point being, it's hard to be impressive when you break your front end. ;) Once the first CV went, everything was like ten times as challenging so I had to beat on the truck ten times harder. Once the second one went, I was done for the day. :(

    None the less, still impressive. I talked with Fink from WPB one day about this, the lighter truck works well. He had his truck at a small get together, one tire fire, and did fine even with not much tread.

    I could probably get marginally stronger CVs, but I'd probably still break them. The Autobone CVs I'm running now have lifetime warranties so all it cost me to fix it was $1.20 for a couple of new cotter pins for the tie rod ends and ~$7 for a new tube of Lock-tite (thanks Rick :p) and my labor. The stronger CVs don't have lifetime warranties.

    The only real solution, without giving up capability, is to SAS, but that's not in my budget for the foreseeable future. If I ever have the $$$, I'd like to get that Hybrid 60 kit from All Pro. Sure, it costs almost as much as the bluebook on my truck, probably quite a bit more by the time it's installed, but it'd be awesome.

    As for when they break, it does seem to be when the wheels are turned sharply, so I can hopefully avoid it happening too often by paying attention and not hammering on it as hard as I was that day. Until then I hadn't really found the limits of the truck. Now I know and I'll just have to resist the temptation of the skinny pedal. :D

    thats kinda already starting to happen lol, things are movin along with a friend that I've know since 7th grade, she lives over In Jacksonville. She'll be joining for the meet in jax in october, i should see if she wants to tag along in Jan, whenever we figure out a date lol

    and...uh yeah lol, I need to start saving now that winch is mounted up...next to her I don't have any saved up for a place of my own since everything I've had has gone into the truck...my truck may end up having more and more miles on it in the near future :)

    Ball joint spacers and lift blocks, am I doing it right?
    I know a hack welder with a Hobart that he could toss in the back of his runner. Even have a 30 amp drier outlet to welder adaptor ready to go. SAC isn't too much if you take your time amassing parts... :eek: ;) :D :eek: :cool:

    You are the bomb! That's awesome. Still, if it ever happens, it's going to require I get a windfall of 10 grand or so...thus not likely to happen anytime soon. :( The axle is ~$5000 while the complete kit with all the bracketry, shocks, and brakes, runs ~$8000.
