Thinking about installing some led strips in the rtt, anybody done that?

 

Haven't done it but I've thought about it. Lol. Shouldn't be too crazy of a task.

 

Although im liking these battery powered ones , no wiring hassle and theyre cheap

 

About $10 bucks a pop

Yeah I'm going that route , plus I can take it outside or anything if I need to , super bright as well

 

Bedrack is getting built on Thursday so everything will be set and mounted before the weekend

Quick question
Are there only 4 bolts that hold the railing onto the tent ? 2 on each railing
I have the manual here but it's kinda vaque

 

yes two per rail. You can choose which way to mount them for side or rear open

 

Oh ok , just making sure , was thinking about adding more bolts on the railings but probably unnecessary , I'll be mounting it for side open on passenger side

yeah just mount them on the longer side. Ive thought about. Damn tent bounches around and only held on by 4 lil bolts

 

My exact thoughts, I was thinking about it but I'll just leave it as is, all the ones I know of have held up fine anyways

 

Went to give my buddy all the measurements and details for the rack and should be done by next week at the latest , went with a pretty simple design , 15inches in height and 50 inches in length, 1.5 inch tubing

 

Refinished the fender flares today and finally added the weatherstripping
