Never underestimate a wife's ability to break shit. Got to glue, fiberglass, and bondo up my grill after the garage door mysteriously shut on it

Replacement grill is probably easier. Besides she most likely didn't park the truck under the door!:stirthepot:

Sorry bro, gotta take the wife's side on this one.:itllbuffout:

Haha. Ok, I had the grill off and sitting long ways across the door ; it might have been a bit me. That said, she does have a habit of closing the garage door on shit: her car twice (scraped down the back bumper, and almost my truck (door got the front license plate)...

Im gonna have to keep things away from the doors from now on I guess.
She did... and was mostly right. Shouldn't have put it there.
Shit, the bondo and fiber glass repair kit almost cost that much! Really don't want to cut up another grill and this one should be easy to fix...

Sounds like you need a sensor on your door!

This^^^^^^ Whenever I park partially in the garage I block the sensor so the door will not move.

I do but I raised it to the truck bumper height to avoid ripping the license plate off again.

And on the way to work my front caliper seized up and almost caught fire; probably from the flood this past week... Now I have no car, no truck... Got to take some quick leave to get some new calipers on the car and bondo up the grill.

Bumper height doesn't help the cat, dog or kid from getting crunched! (or grill)

    You can drive without grill

Can you? I might have to tomorrow. The sensor isnt that high but just high enough that the grill didnt catch :notsure:

Bondo is drying now should be able to sand and paint tonight.
No, this was my 1980 Tercel. The neighborhood flooded last Tuesday and calipers probably were underwater for a good while... I check the fluid in the truck and its good; the res was dirty which made the fluid look dirty. Thank god, its practically brand new. Don't want to do another flush.

Grill is nearly all aesthetic. Just don't drive down a gravel road.

Tore into the car today. Need to order some parts. Shit shit shit. (sorry for the shity pics, was in a hurry)

First, the car as more down travel than the truck (4 3/4"). Can see why the 4x4 version was so popular offroad.

The rotors are mounted on the back side of the first wheel bearing (there are two) Fucken japs

The bearing assembly pry's off pretty easy:

Took out the old pads. Not bad shape considering they pretty much caught on fire twice :p But with new rotors comes new pads.

Took out the caliper guides. Ladies and gentlemen, new pads always comes with a little packet of grease. This is what happens when you don't grease your slides:

The wheel bearing was in good shape and the grease not burnt. Cleaned it up, packed some new grease in and put it back on. Used the nut to press it in and done. New rotor installed (need to order some new slide parts for the calipers).

Passenger side was even easier until I got the bearing out. I have no Idea what cause this. From what I could see bearing itself is in good shape; the grease was shit. Burnt :notsure: Now Im debating weather I should just repack with new grease or get some new parts...

Everything good inside. Turns without making noise :notsure:
