My boy went quietly in his sleep Tuesday morning. He passed in my wife's loving arms as I was away at a family funeral. Damn rough week.

You all at TW are the best. Thank you all for the kind words and Prayers. Courage left us with the most love that a family member ever had. He was the best rescue and friend that anyone could ask for. My boy and I love you folks, as do Kipper, Marlin, and Axel.
    Thanks again,
    Eric

My parents got a Golden 3 days before I was born (a little over a month prematurely) and we've had them ever since. I will always have at least one in my house. They are awesome family members.

Don't get me wrong, I love all dogs but, I have a special place in my heart for Goldens... ;)

It's funny, I hear people talking about how their dogs tear up toys and ours has a whole basket of stuffed animals upstairs that he's had for a long time. We keep throwing them in the washer and putting them back and he carries the one around that he wants at the time. He even puts them away most of the time when he gets a different one out :D.

Although our others were house trained our others have all primarily been outside dogs. This big fella is a totally inside dog due to major allergies and a thyroid condition. When I got my Taco a few weeks ago the first thing we did was start figuring out how to protect the seats, level out the floorboards and console area, and cover the cupholders so that once he is in his harness and buckled in he can be comfy riding with us. He can stick his head and the fronts of his feet between the seat to ride but, he can't come any farther forward than that. He even has a travel water bowl system that we've fixed for him... (I'll get pics of his backseat setup and post them in another thread).
