Mike and I actually talked about moving to the desert so he can actually use his truck. My company has a location in Phoenix. He can work anywhere he wants.

I'll make sure we have a nuke-proof bunker.

How hot does it get? 100+?

It's much better than here (this year excluded). The humidity keeps things nicely hot and disgusting.

    I got the memo.

I just figure that'll be the safest level of protection.

In the shade it regularly gets in the 100 teens. In the sun, god only knows. I have thermo'ed my friends car at 160* this year, and my truck and car at 150*. My Out Door thermometer broke this year.

    Ah....Good thinking.......

Get some "winter rye" if it's available out there or fescue and some bermuda or centipede. Mix the two together and spread over your yard. Then cover with straw - not enough to smother the seed, but enough to "barely cover" the seed. Water 4 - 5 times a day for a few minutes each time.

The winter rye will come up in a few days and the other will take a couple of weeks.

If that doesn't work, then paint your dirt green :D

Ok...umm....Straw? You DO know I live in the City....Right? If I go looking for "Straw" The jackhole behind the Help desk is gonna tell me "Isle 11", and Im gonna find a box of 500 "straws" used for drinks. At which point, I'll have to punch the guy.

 I just visualized a bug in bermuda shorts sitting on a lounge chair on a sandy beach sipping an umbrella drink while listening to the Beach Boys.

Oh, and I second the painting the lawn. Apparently Home Depot carries paint next to the grass seed. I can easily see the "mix up" explanation should Julie4x4 inquire as to why the back yard is green.

Have you been waiting for that moment? ;)

Eh... still. I spent my summers on the West Coast so I'm more used to the dry heat. The humidity on the East Coast kills me.

Well since Phoenix built up around all these little "farms", there must be some feed supply stores or just use cow poo... you said you had cows out there :D

Actually, I had a Rock Boarder. Rocks hurt Mollys feet though, so I threw them over my fence.....I mean....Got rid of them.

I know what you should do.

Step 1. Go to the toy store
Step 2. Buy a whole bunch of plastic balls.
    Step 3. ???
    Step 4. BALL PIT!
