Yeah I agree. Definitely hard on a young developing brain, not doubting that. But also one can smoke MJ in moderation (1-2x a day or whatever) and Im pretty sure Id rather do that than smoke a pack, which inevitably destroys all parts of your body with synthetic chemicals, etc

Arguing that smoking pot is healthier than smoking cigarettes is a lot like arguing that a 55mph head-on is healthier than a 65mph head-on accident. My point was how about you make the choice to do neither as the healthiest option? That's what my statement was. Tough to argue any point if that logic unless you REALLY like 55mph head-on accidents.

You clearly are missing the point of the comparison entirely as evidenced by your statistic that somehow makes your stance look a little bit better. Just like saying that more people die from 65mph head-on collisions than 55mpg head-on collisions. Yet nobody with common sense would knowingly choose a 55mph head-on collision if not getting into an accident at all were also an option.

The lungs are fragile things and it doesn't take much to destroy the tiny, incredibly thin, air sacs inside of them. Smoking anything destroys the air sacs creating fewer but larger sacs. This decreases the surface area for gas exchange as well as scarring the lung tissue itself. It's kind of like shrinking your radiator to be half as large and then making the radiator fan spin half as fast and trying to race through the desert.

Sure you may not destroy as much of the lung sacs smoking less frequently or smoking MJ but the lung capacity drop off is rather severe and pretty quick. It doesn't take much to make a big impact. Those air sacs NEVER heal or return for the rest of your life, even if you stop.

I've pressed on the lungs of a healthy cadaver and felt air bubbles popping and is the consistency of an angel food cake; pressing the lungs of a cadaver that smoked feels like cheap dense fruit cake and you can't feel any air inside.

I never said you did. My statement was specifically on smoking ANYTHING but the pot heads in the house chose to turn it into an all out war on the only thing in life they seem to value. Sometimes reading comprehension is good.
