Hello so I recently purchased a 50 inch Robby Gordon series radius bar from outlaw offroad and was wondering if I could get any pictures or tips on Anyone's installs on directing the wires which brackets to use etc etc.. Keep in mind I do not want to drill any holes if possible. I believe I read somewhere the tacoma double cabs come with factory threads on the roof??

Yes double cabs have the roof rack holes up top already.

You need to get some custom mounts that are predrilled to those holes to have to make any more holes.
Also I just ran my wires down the windshield

Does anyone worry about these getting stolen? Looks like I could remove this light bar in about 2 minutes.

    Well...yea it's just 2 bolts.
    But never had a problem.
I have 6 pods (4 up front and 2 in the rear) a 32 and the 50 up top

Every time I leave my truck outside someone tries to steal the bed cage, CB whip, etc.etc. This would be gone within 2 days where I live. I've been looking at more LED bars but I have to find ways to make them harder to take off my truck.

Led bar up top, another tucked away in lower grille. 6" Pro Comp, 35's.
Does a 50 curved fit with the mounts pictured in your quote?

If you are worried about it getting stolen then get one of these guys for each side. Sure its not impossible to steal even with the Torx bits, but it would make it a lot harder.

Okay so do I need to get the roof rack and drill into the rack? Or Are the pre drilled holes at the front of the truck by the windshield?

Thanks for all the help guys I appreciate it!

The pre drilled holes are at the front of the truck, you just have to buy the led bar mounts to screw into those pre drilled holes.

I was talking to a guy who has one and he just JB welded the bolt into it and said if it needs to come off he'll get a grinder out.

yep, unscrew 2 bolts and snip the wires. About 30 seconds with a cordless drill.

    look no further....http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/ge...utz-boltz-led-light-bars-etc.html#post8253517

Would make it no harder if the guy who is stealing it scoped out your truck the night before and brought the torx bit with him. I could have that out with my portable drill in 10 seconds.

that's just silly IMHO. What if he needed to do a trail fix? Then he's screwed. Security bolts are cheap... no need to rig up stuff on a 1k light bar.

That's if you were lucky enough to hear them while you slept. What if you were in the store shopping? Not much to shoot at when you walk out and its already gone with nobody around. :)

also looking for roof mounts that use the pre-existing holes in the double cabs. I know there is at least one company on TW that makes them. I cant remember who tho..

I will definitely be getting some of those key bit bolts! thanks for posting those XXXX. theft has also been a concern for me.. and those will work great!
