Don't get too excited yet, people (even myself), forget about events like this and end up making other plans the day of. But you can count myself and a bunch of other people in on this so there will be atleast 10-15 other people going.

Just wanted to express my excitement for this trip. I'm bringing 4 friends with me, and well be camping Friday night and Saturday night to be able to fully enjoy the day instead of having to worry about getting back to Orange County. Were gonna rent a few dirt bikes and hopefully exhaust ourselves with fun. Can't wait to see everyone there! ON A SIDE NOTE: this isn't like Azusa where thy check for 4x4 right? EDIT: I am still offroading my truck for the majority of the day. Dirt bikes are primarily for friends.

Glad to hear about your excitement. Your probably double excited cause you'll get to try out the new suspension. When you first signed up you were stock now your pretty much ready for whatever comes at ya!

Definitely bring a tent, firewood, snacks, food, beverages, Adult beverages, water, blankets, whatever you think you will need for camping. There are showers by the ranger station so if you feel the need to shower just pop in some quarters and your good to go. There are also bathrooms.

It would be good to bring extra gas jugs. You can get the 5 gallon race ones like VP or ones similar to that (try to get the red one, there was a rumor about rangers giving people tickets for using the other color utility jugs that weren't specific for fuel), usually around 40 with the hose attachment, or just hit up walmart get their 5 gallon one for like $10 i think. Or just head over to The Blu Inn and pay up the ass for gas.

Like Randy said they don't check if your 4x4. It will be fun times!

Just to make you feel better about owning a truck, I've seen geo metro hatchbacks out there cruising around.. They sure got beat up and had to drive around the flat, smooth spots, but sure was a funny sight! Last night run there was a rental car out there doing reverse donuts!

    What Mods!
I would say a majority of people will be using cb's i would invest in that but not everyone will have a hand held walkie and if so stay in between someone with a cb so incase anything happens

I want to get a CB. It would be nice to communicate while cruising. But I doubt it will happen by the time the trip rolls around.

    6 weeks and counting!!!!!

Engage Offroad long travel front and rear with some fat tires.
if you want a cheap, good working CB, go to FRYs...

they have a Midland CB there for 25 bux...

i have it in my rig and it works really good...

of course, for desert runs, race radio is prime choice in communications...
