I am just wondering what would be the best setup for my DCLB'09. I like the crawling aspect, would like more travel, more clearance. I am willing to cut the wheel wells for larger tires. I already have a high clearance rear bumper from pelfreybilt coming.

SAS seems like a bit much, plus I can't do it myself, a shop would probably rape me on the cost. but would be sick.

thoughts on control arms, coilovers, shocks, ?leafs?, shackle flip?

help me build a dream setup for my long ass truck to conquer the colorado trails!

Well heres what I am thinking

TC 2" kit with Fox all around, adjustable in the rear

AP Leaf kit with ATO Shackle Flip

Then get some beadlocks with 34 or 35's and cut the fenders.

Ask Gramps about the all-pro pack. His did crack after a couple of years of use. He might have some thoughs on that pack. Also have input on his current setup.

Started out good but I would go

TC +2 front, king 8" shocks, hydraulic bumps
Rear bed cage, DMZ SUA, 16" triples.. if you got the coin 3 or 4 link it, you will have flex for days

I heard AP sometimes ships wrong parts, and might rub, and yeah not very dependable.

    ARB the front and regear

    Rear truss
    Arb rear
    Regear axle
    Chromo rear axle shafts
    LT shocks - king- resevoir
    Relocate shock brackets
    Bed cage for LT shocks
Contact deaver and have them build you a pack vehicle and driving specific.
    Shackle flip
    Wheel spacer to match front

Run 35s if DD, if trail only 37s

    Or....

Tell josh and chad at crawler tech exactly how you want to wheel your rig and drop the $$$$ with a labor/craftsmanship warranty.

    Jeebus, Thanks!

I would do a cage in the bed, if I didn't sleep in the bed a lot with my gf, we camp a ton. Also usually hauling shit that takes up room.

    ARB Front/Rear what?

Seems crawler tech is mainly jeeps?

Reading the statement below I would just stick to a leaf pack in the rear. 3 or 4 linking the rear will need the gas tank to be relocated. A bed cage will take up a lot of real estate in the bed as well.
He means lockers front and rear, ARB makes air lockers

Looks like in your sig you already have arbs, so I guess regearing would be dictated by your carrier break.

Your right jeeps are his bread and butter

... But Crawler tech does it all, when I was down there last annoying josh a few weeks ago, he was re building a late model FJ. If you don't want to go that route addicted off-road does some awesome toyota work and might be closer to you.

In lieu of a bed cage you could just do a shock hoop, but with it being used for sleeping you probably don't want to start putting holes in it.
