    Hey Guys,

My name is Mark. I picked up my first Tacoma last week. I haven't taken many pictures of it yet but this one is from the day I brought it home. She is a 2012 TRD Off Rd (TRD badges removed) with Nav with 15k miles.

I guess I will need to do a build thread because I have some things planned and a lot of stuff yet unplanned.

I have already swapped out the antenna for a shorty and changed all the interior lights and reverse lights to LEDs. Up next are mirror mount, de-chroming and some sort of cargo management.

I'm an avid turkey hunter and occasional deer hunter and have had a couple Chevy z71s and several SUVs before this Tacoma.

I am already grateful for all of the info on these boards!

Beautiful truck, looks like mine, but shorter.

Why did you change the antenna? Are you going to lift it? If so, you might want to put the stock antenna back on to make sure you don't hit ant low hanging obstacles, like garage doors or parking garage ceilings or tree branches. The stock piece is about an inch and a half taller than the cab and gives you a heads up because it will make noise if... when you hit something and are not paying attention.

Believe me, mine has already save me and I only have a 3" lift.

Hey everyone! My name is Ralph and I'm brand new to Toyota, Tacoma, Tacomaworld, etc. I just purchased a 2004 Double Cab Prerunner TRD 2.7L 4 cylinder and I love it. It has 143,xxx miles on it and I Just changed all the fluids, spark plugs, and water pump. This baby should last me forever! I'm 20 and this is my first car that I've purchased by myself and I'm really excited!

Trying figure out what this little black switch is right next to my parking brake?
    Any ideas?

I will probably go back to it when I go through with a lift. It is down the road at this point. Have much research and deciding to do. The only reason I swapped it out for now is that I listen to XM 99% of the time and like to run through car washes so I wanted one I didn't have to get out to pull off all the time.

Hadn't even thought about it as a height gauge though. hmm..

Latest mod completed today. Blacked out all the chrome badges and emblems. Gonna experiment with the wheels next when I get the time.

You take your baby through swirl-o-matics. For shame, for shame. I thought you liked your Tacoma?

Those things ruin paint jobs faster than driving through a sand storm in Arizona. Hand washing is the best way to go, especially if you are going to keep your truck a long time.

I'll bet that looks nice with all the blacked out emblems.
