    2005 dbl cab, 6spd, sr5, 4x4, 4.0, 80k mi

stock front end, general spring 4 leaf in back

aftermarket stereo (shitty job? previous owner)

    cruise control does not work

    fog lights dont work

clutch cancel button does not work

Now Im geting the key warning beep while i use the brakes. Maybe half the time. It stops beeping as soon as i stop braking.

no warning lights on dash at all

I DO NOT HAVE TRACTION CONTROL so that's not it.

my door open/key forgotten/seatbelt warning is all the same beeper module. and same beep as the brake/turn signal problem I am having.

I'm thinking that the OP is not talking about the same "beep" as the traction control beeps that go along with braking.

My guess OP is that you have some serious wrong wiring issues going on. Wish I could tell you where to start. After market radio shouldn't affect your specific issues.

It is the same key/door open/ put into reverse beep (I don't have traction control)

more clues- It does it when I step on the brake while the right turn signal is on. even if im at a stop.

    ok, so crossed/frayed wires?

any idea where to start taking the dash apart?

does the dash "snap" together or are there fasteners?

Does it do it with just the brake on?
Does it do it when you just have the blinker on but not the brake?

I think we've covered OP does not hear the traction control beep.

Most of the dash is held together by clips. I've never gone further than the center console and radio myself.

    Blinker on- no beep.

blinker on and then brake- beep beep beep...

    brake only- no beep

blinker on, then brake- beep, beep then release brake, beep stops. brake again (blinker still on) beep, beep...

Yeah, its all clips one way or another I believe. Like I said I've never gone farther than the around the radio. Never had an issue with that. Google search on here about it. Also there is a YouTube video on how the radio comes out, to get you that far.

    1. Do you have an oem or aftermarket trailer harness installed?

2.) Is this the door ajar alarm or the key reminder alarm??

Also When beeping does the door ajar light or seatbelt reminder light up on the instrument panel com on as well ??

    Two more thoughts...

Try this and let me know .... Buckle the passenger's seat belt and see if it still beeps.

you said "aftermarket stereo (shitty job? previous owner)"

Perhaps the problem is either with the wiring or possibly the radio is causing a backfeed ??? I'll see if I can find the harness wiring for the radio ... the radio may have a feed wire for the door ajar signal.

Try seeing if this issue occurs with the Radio both Off and On??

Hook up harness if you need to rewire ... $6 Amazon

    wiring diagrams

    http://www.autozone.com/autozone/re...al-Wiring-Diagram-2005-1/_/P-0996b43f80378c50

I'm also looking through the diagrams I have found so far. Please answer the above questions so I can proceed. I also see that the steering wheel radio control wiring and key reminder have a "threshold" voltage settings (i.e. diff voltages mean different things.) So it may be possible is the wiring is screwed up in the radio install, it might also affect the cruise. But lets stay with the beep for now.

OP - Can you answer the questions I posed above ?? I'm currently looking at the combination meter schematics ... This is the board that has the beeper on it. I need the info to track the inputs to the board..
