    Hey guys
    Not new to TacomaWorld but just recently got back on since I picked up a "new to me" 13 ACSB BRMetallic Taco.
    Basically ready to start building up my taco and figured why not start here.
    Knew where to go for what when I was on Maui but don't know much about hookups here on Oahu.


    First thing I wanted to do was remote start and security. My buddy on Maui had it on his taco and wanted one ever since. I would install it but I read that it was a little tricky with the 6 speed so wanted to see if I could get it done "professionally" + all the warrant stuff. Best Buy or Security &Sound Systems? Anywhere else?

    Security and Sounds is a good place I hear. I have a lot of experience with Progressive Audio in Aiea. I wanted the same setup for my taco but the cost of the remote start was double my last taco cause Toyota changed the wiring or something. And now it's basically that they have to hot wired the ingition in order to do remote start. So, I put that money into other things. Hope that helps :D

    Oh that sucks. I'll probably go out and check out Security and sound today. See what they quote me.. Read good stuff about them but wanted to double check to make sure those were real reviews. If its anything over 600 for the remote start and security. I'm just gonna go with the security just to be safe.

    Just ordered the Dakar AAL from lowrangeoffroad.com. Said they have free shipping on all ARB/OME Products. Was skeptical that it would work for Hawaii but just got notified it shipped and shipping was still free.

    Don't go to Progressive in Aiea. I had an alarm installed in my old 2001 and this is the kind of work they do. Alarm brain and antenna were just wedged in, not secured at all, open connections not covered up.
    Wires not zip tied and just stuffed in between the panel and the AC vent.
