Productive day today. Picked up mulch, Leafgro, and pine bark mini nuggets to support the Eagle Scout project this Saturday. Also had to take a medication for to my son docs to have it signed so my son's ADD medication can be dispensed to him by the school next Tuesday morning. I had not planned on having to do that. I was also able to schedule La-Z-Boy in next week to repair a sleeper chair.

Tomorrow the refrigerator should be delivered from Home Depot. I also have to pick up the split rail fencing for the Eagle Scout project. Another busy day.

Ditto that. I got tired of multi-day outages a couple of years ago and bought a generator. Paid the electrician to wire me up with an outside 30A plug. I go outside, fire up the generator, hook it up to the outlet, go back inside, flip a few switches in the breaker box. Presto. After so many years without it, having a generator feels like total luxury! :p

    yup!!! :D

We've been having a/c issues at work for months. Thought they had fixed them a month or two ago.... wellllllllllll they're back :( For about the last 2 weeks, a/c has been out at least half the day. We call maintenance and they get the a/c folks out. Guess one of the motors or maybe it was a compressor locked up and killed a circuit breaker. Replaced the c/b and when the power came back on, compressor wouldn't work, and killed the power to just about half the building. My computer worked, but no printer and not interwebz :annoyed: and no lights in my office, but the two back offices had lights, but no 'puters :notsure:

    welcome

 they fix you up right and you recover fast. How're the lungs doing? Cough all gone?

:gossip: not all of us "belong" to this thread yet.. ;)

Power co was there when we left. They said they should have it fixed, so we'll see in the morning.

Left a whopping 4 minutes early...

    I miss the 'rat :pout:

    :woohoo: :yay: PUPPIES!!!!!! :D

 you were a little busy today

Got the call from Home Depot. They will be here between 09:30 and 1:00 tomorrow. The fencing place opens at 09:00. I plan to be there when they open and pick up the fencing. Drop it off at church after Home Depot leaves. I will then be ready for the Eagle Scout project on Saturday.

I ran into the Eagle Scouts mom at Home Depot today when I was picking up Leafgro. I told her that her son was doing a great job managing the project. I think she needed to hear the feedback.

    There's some good news, too....http://www.sfgate.com/science/article/Alleged-arsonist-arrested-in-King-Fire-5764829.php

I hope they throw him under the jail.

I just got home for 24 hours off, I go back tomoorw. I haven't had time to catch up on the back posts. What happened to River Rat? If he comes back while I'm gone tell him howdy.

It's good to see the rest of the regulars still here.

Just their attitude. They changed the POP3 incoming and outgoing server ports and never told me that would happen. Spent over an hour yesterday repairing my Outlook email client on my PC and about an hour today repairing my email to my cell phone. I did not have that time to waste. To top it off once I fixed my phone it seems Verizon's servers in the DC area lost the ability to connect to email. But I am sure it was not their problem. ;)

On a better side I am ready for the Eagle Scout project tomorrow. The young man managing the project has been super. Better than some project managers I know in the real world.

Few pics of the Tacoma and the load it has moved in the last two days.

Well, that's very interesting, as I am a Senior Chief Petty Officer in NSW. The 5352 after my name is my NEC (Navy Enlisted Qualification) I am a River Rat, as well, though we do coastal, too. I started out at Special Boat Unit Eleven, in Mare Island, CA.

    Evening all:
    Calm down Tom!
You think that's bad, I got the net webbing into one of the split rings of a lure last night, and couldn't see well enough to get it out.
Tons of grass coming down the river, and it was on the lure almost every cast.
Called it quits early, but did manage 4 walleyes and 2 stripers.

    Close enough; Welcome Chief Don!
I was a BM, and ran small boats in the Firth of Clyde; Holy Loch Scotland. The highlight of my tour was when I had to transport an Admiral, or Sen. Stennis. I didn't get to shuttle the Deputy sec. of the Navy though; they were afraid he would get seasick! :)

    Evening good peoples.
    Welcome newbies.

    Food for thought.
    If you work 6 days.
And on a 5 day week hump day is Wednesday.
When is hump day on 6 days.
    Is it still Wednesday??????
Like after work instead of noon????

Had 3 bad electrical issues this week.
All fixed. Brain is fried. Still one more day to go.
Have to try and get out on the boat Sunday. Might be the last time I will go.
Will put the winter fuel in it and call it for the season. Suckkkkkkkkkks
Still some time for riding the Harley. Everything changing so fast this year.
My bones are registering a hard winter.
