    I think it's that & the AT vs street tire.
    Yeah I thought the spacer was cool too, it served it's purpose until I got schooled here. Haha
    Thank you. Yeah I had to do it in stages & I'm so impatient I couldn't wait until I had everything. So I drove it like that until I got wheels & 285's

    Have you thought about 295's? That's what K9 & Ricks2013 are running & they look good. I want to switch to MT's & that's probably the size I'll go with but like you I'm broke. Plus my 285's are new, all 4 got replaced after the wreck.

    I'm thinking Toyo MTs or Nitro Trail Grapplers.
    I had Toyo MTs 35x12.50 on my Ram, they ride pretty good & wear good. I forget how many miles I had on them when I traded it in on the taco but they looked new. I think it was like 30k miles.

    Main reason I want to get the Toyos is to try something different. But I'd like to get the trail grapplers because of how aggressive and awesome they look...it's kind of a toss up right now lol

    Same here, Nittos look awesome but I know how good the Toyos are. Although they didn't work that great in GA clay, they got packed with clay & I slid into a ditch but I'm not sure anything would work in that crap. Haha
    I tried to clear them out but they would just get packed again plus it had been pouring all day.

    Yeah K-9 actually just recently left the 295 club and went up to 305's :rolleyes:
    Haha. I'm wanting to get some 35's here in the near future. Anyone have some aggressive 35's and want to trade for an almost new 33" (almost 34"actually) Trail Grappler? :)
    I've heard that the 35x12.50x17 MT/R'S weigh less then the 33" Grappler! But damn they are expensive and not quite as aggressive looking but i could probably live with that. I too love the look of the Grappler and also the Toyo MT. I may get the Toyo just to get something different for a change (i've had 2 sets of Grapplers), but a bigger /lighter tire is very tempting. I think in the tire size world 315= 35's. 285x75 is a true 34" and 295x70 could be a 34 if rounded up(like most do) Heres a few specs on Grapplers:
    285x75x17 =34.09
    295x70x17 =33.54
    315x70x17 =34.61
    35x12.50x17 =34.84

    That's right, he did get new tires. I didn't know he went with 305's. Are they 305/70/17? That's like a 34x12.

    If you want to trade down I'm game. Haha I've got 7 tires

    so I was at pepboys getting my truck aligned (finally) havent done it since the maxtracs went on 3 months ago :eek:, and they had a 315/70/17 BFG AT sittin in the lobby...my god the 35 is bigger in person than I thought it would be. just seems to dwarf my tiny tires. Even the guys at pepboys agreed that I needed bigger tires :D. damn I wish I had the money for them dirty 5's

    Haha Dang thats what I thought.

    Oh man i see them on some trucks (RadTaco914, YotaMatt, Toytech,just to name a few) and they def look change the look of the truck and so look sweet!
    Besides the MT/R's it looks like the approx avg price for 35's are are around $300-$325 each(not including shipping). Not much difference from 295's. Those General grabbers are kinda sweet looking and on the cheaper end but not sure how long they last or if really loud etc.
    Hey YotaMatt how do you like those Mud Grapplers? Are they extremely noisy? How about tread life? They sure do look sweet but I don't want to have to buy a new set every year.
    Edit: Sorry this is the maxtrac thread, maybe we should start a 35 incher thread :)
