    I think the 'look' can vary a bit because they are remans which means the original application may have varied some. That may explain the variance in pulley and also the front fan thingie between the pully and the body. Bottom line is the mounting points are all the same and one would assume the out put.

    the BlueSea ML-ACR is a sweet looking setup. Compared to a IBS system or one from National Luna it is gonna be less money. The only real difference in capabilities is those other two offer a lighted, status dongle and a low voltage audible alert.

    Also the ML=ARC is rated at 500A continuous with a cranking rating of 2500A. :eek:

    Nice! But that is for a cs130. Not a 144. Still an upgrade.

    Does look nice indeed. Pricey though. Pretty handy though. I bet I could plug it straight into my current setup. Oh well. Better things to spend money on.

    Yea I used all weather trailer plugs to connect to the Toyota harness and put the same end on the stock and cs144 alternator. So I carry the stock as a spare and stock belt in the OSK.

    It has gone up quite a bit in the past year. Was like $130. I saw it on Amazon the other day for $195

    On a related question, I read about a lot of guys putting the winch to the aux battery. You don't buy into that do you.

    Nope. Should be as close to the alternator as possible

    It'll still work off an aux battery...just not as efficient.

    Also...did you fix your winch yet? Haha need to secure your solenoid a lot better

    Sounds like a plan. I ran 4ga for the cs144 but left the stock harness intact and just un wired the normal positive lead from the stock alternator. That way I can wire it to the stock one in a pinch.

    I think you can make a tray of some sort to sit right behind the cab under the bed. Just gotta make it strong.

    I don't see the benefit to moving the starter battery really..but could if ya wanted.

    I haven't yet. :anonymous: I am thinking of moving it anyway. It is right where I want to put a trans cooler.

    I guess their thinking is to not drain the starting battery when doing lots of winching. I get what you are saying tho. And we have high output alts to minimize the chance of that happening.

    Well that's why you shouldn't winch with the truck off..haha so the alternator helps take a lot of load off. Well..ours does for sure. Stock does too just not as much.

    And get on that. Don't want another disaster :p

    No I'm not going through the stock fuse box. The stock one does. I'm saying I have the stock wiring still in place so when/if I have to swap the stock on back in on the trail in bolts right in and wires up just as stock.

    The cs144 goes straight to a break. Then the battery. Then the fuse box.
