    SFA-solid front axle

85 was the only year they have solid axle and EFI 22re. Rare trucks.

The meme is a stab at my truck. The exhaust is loud. Timmy was there when were were tunnel blasting.

But my truck just has normal squeaks and noises a rig does otherwise.

D'oh. I should've guessed that. what's so good about a sfa/sra as opposed to IFS and irs(not the IRS)?

oh ok. why's ur exhaust loud? aftermarket?
so just normal wear and tear?

Sfa nets you a fuck ton of travel that ifs would never be able to get because of the cv's binding. It is stronger and can be locked because of it. If you put a front locker on a. Ifs setup you need to learn how to change cv's because you are likely to blow one on the trail.

Ifs has it's own benefits though. With ifs you can go long travel and go fast through the desert and what not. I personally will never go sfa because I like going fast on connecting trails we have in the pines here. Just because you are ifs doesn't mean you can't do slow stuff, but if you look at some sfa rigs like bamf's, thegame, and 01tacoma you can see how beastly sfa can be.

I'm running standards with stock shackles. It all went together fine and flexes really nice. So nice that 3 of the leaves are broken.

    Quick question on LBJ's.

I don't have any noticeable problems associated with worn LBJ's but today I noticed one of them leaking grease. I assume this means that I tore the boot as it's a sealed unit. With winter approaching, should I consider replacing it now while I can feel my fingers or wait until the LBJ wears out?

There's a few people on here with all pro shackles and other leaves. Boxrocket runs them with dakars. :notsure:

Yeah but there is your LT, and there is Jason's LT which is SUA vs. SOA. I mean I obviously never wheeled with you so I have no idea what your truck can take but Jason's rig seems like it could take stuff faster/harder than a SOA rig can correct? And with SUA don't you risk smashing your leaves on rocks and such?

I'd replace it personally since a blown LBJ is no bueno and can lead to damaging many other parts.
