I'll air down to 5 psi without worry.

If you do lose a bead, use ratchet straps to compress the tire to the wheel, then air it back up.

I've done a 285 down to 10psi in snow, no bead loss... just be careful of rapid wheel turning and such.
I've done 14psi all day, but I sometimes pick up a chunk of tree bark stuck between the rim and the tire. Doesn't cause any harm, but it means I should have ridden with more air.
My current set of 255s I do about 18.

The general rule is to watch for the tire to bulge as you deflate. It's kinda hard to look for.

What type of canopy do you have and have you had any issues with using a RTT? I'm looking to go to a hard canopy but want to still be able to run a RTT.

I actually emailed this seller earlier today because I'm looking for a set of tires for a friends 4Runner, and those tires are nowhere near 55%, especially the 2nd one which is already down to the wear indicators. Guy refused to admit that they're more worn than he advertises, hopefully no one believes it and pays more than $100 for the set.

Thanks for the info. I ran mine down to 18 and they did well (265's). Looked a bit flatter but not as noticeable like others I have seen.

I have a SnugTop rebel. With the setup that u have I have had no issues with the RTT. The extra bars dispurse the weight of the RTT.

Still over in Packwood on vacation. My internet currently is terrible but squeezed a pic up to the internet (I currently have 700k down/266k up, lol)

This is from yesterday out on the trails (the two footed type of trails, that is)

I can't get off tomorrow. And the dog has a vet appointment at 5. I'd love to be there tomorrow though. Sunday I'll be there, unless the consensus is Saturday as well

We won't ruin your house, so don't worry! :D

I texted Benson and Will to make sure they had seen the thread. We will see what they say.

Andrew, my sister is bringing me my dads spring compressors. I think they are a decent pair from what I briefly saw. I may go grab another pair from autozone though, unless you want to grab some?

    1. You should get full leaf pack. I have Dakar on my truck, and brought a little over 3000 lbs of hay home yesterday (truck and trailer). 19 bales in the truck plus tongue weight, I figure about 1700 lbs extra on truck. I measured when loaded last night and empty this morning, and she was only squatting about 4 inches.

    2. I used Ben's trick to take apart my factory suspension without having actually watched it happen, and it was very simple and safe despite the alcohol consumption.

I am playing catch up on here and saw you already got a battery, but for future reference, Costco brand batteries are made by Johnson Controls, who also make Interstate batteries and they are good. You also have a great return policy on Costco batteries. My mom's truck had the battery die very prematurely, and I took it in, and they were able to look it up in their system, and give me a new battery without a receipt.

I've had redwings. I liked danners better than redwings, and currently on a second set of Timberland boots now with composite toe that meets all ANSI crap as steel toe, but isn't conductive.

I have the same tires on my truck with about 2000 miles (same size and everything). Great tires. This guy is full of shit that they are 55%. Have him get a pic with a ruler or something in the tread to show depth.

Use lighter fluid for a barbecue. I have seen videos of it done with that as well, and it doesn't seem to leave lingering flames like the hairspray. Also, the ratchet strap thing isn't a bad plan either. You can get a 4 pack of ratcheting tie downs at harbor freight for about $12 full price, or watch sales and use coupons and get it for about $7

Brady, are you finally going to do what everybody has been telling you to do this entire time? Autozone spring compressor rental....

Anybody here interested in a brand new set of black Spidertrax wheel spacers? I bought them from Wheelers when I got my lift thinking I would want them when I changed out the wheels are tires but decided everything fit fine and I don't need them.
