Hello there, I own a 2013 Tacoma double cab 4x4 TRD Sport and was wondering if any one could advise me about the Super Charge. I'm considering install one but would like to hear from some one the PROS and CONS of ti. My Tacoma uses a lot of fuel and at times fells a little sluggish so I thought adding a Supper Charge would help but i'm also concerned about my gas mileage and the cost to maintain the supper charge. Thank you Paul M.

    Welcome to TW!

I don’t have a super charger. but i have read most get the TRD. I think after price and install it’s close to 4 or $5k and i also think that you MUST run high test gas.(so that would be 91 or 93 depending on the gas station or area you live in.

Thats about all i really know about it. hopefully someone that has one will see this.

Last person I saw on here to have a SC installed, it was a TRD SC and installed by the dealership and it was $5500 for everything, install, remapping the ecu, tuning, etc. As for gas mileage, just like any performance mod, your mpg's are gonna drop. I think I heard about 14-16 mpgs with a supercharger, but not 100% on that.

no, gas mileage will NOT be changed by the blower. Thats just not accurate, its all up to the drivers right foot.

Really? I always just thought that with forced induction more fuel would be needed. But yeah, I can see what you mean by how you drive it.
