Got the LSC back in May but didn't pay much attention to it until yesterday. I spent last weekend working on the back end trying to rattle can the hell out of things to slow the rust down. I'll have to make my appointment next week!

I have two holes in my frame already so I have been logging in everyday waiting for this. Haven't felt safe in my truck since I found the first hole calling Toyota first thing in the morning

I'm thinking it will eventually. They seem to like working in stages

Please pardon if I'm repeating a previously stated concern within this thread.

Is there anyone here, besides myself, who believes that aftermarket undercoating applied to an already rusted frame not only does little good, but adds to potential longterm harm?

Water will always find a way in, applying aftermarket undercoating gives it no escape.

Frame ordered, ten minutes at the dealer, but they called me this morning because they new I was waiting. I was surprised they called so fast, but I am their first with this lsc so they don't have a parts list yet, hope I get all the bid and pieces too.

Just got a call from the dealer. They found a spot that they are having an engineer who is going to be in the area today look at. Should have an answer by the end of the day. Not sure I know which way I hope this goes, I guess a new frame would be nice, but whatever. lol.
I guess I kind of hope they replace the frame. I don't think I would be comfortable driving it knowing it had a hole in it somewhere that wasn't supposed to be.

From the Toyota.com/owners website, it says that both MD and VA are now included in the LSC.

If you have a smart phone you can download the Toyota Owners app, all you need is your VIN, no account needed. It's basically what I used on a daily basis to check.

I don't think it is available here yet. I know it will be, just waiting for the approval. I did however get my new headlights under their extended warranty done.

Well, the engineer said the hole in the frame is enough to replace the whole frame. They are ordering the parts and they will be in in 3-4 weeks. then it's another 1-2 weeks to replace it. Gonna see if they will put bilsteins on instead of the factory shocks instead. Factory shocks have 105k on them.

Just informing, that's all. The LSC doesn't apply to your year truck, but if there are any other recalls, you can find out that way.

Well. I think I may be screwed. I called my dealers again and they all referred me to call Toyota. So I did. My VIN does not qualify under the campaign. The campaign only recognized frames UU469,000-499,000. Mine is in the UU200's, so I was told I'm SOL. I have an 06 with a pretty rusted frame and I have been patiently waiting on PA to come into the campaign.

I have a question, is there anyone out there with a vin that is out of the campaign like mine, that actually took part in this campaign? I need to know how to move forward. Thanks

I just checked and my 07 is included, they made an appt. to inspect next week. They also said they had a couple already that were done, and a couple waiting on frames to come in. The last truck had an 8 week wait for the frame, and they do a case by case basis of letting you drive the truck while waiting, depending on the severity and location of the rusted through area.

How do you tell which frame you have?
