OME 3" Lift with Spidertrax Spacers for 285's

    New member here with a 08 DC TRD LB - Indigo Blue. :canada:

    I've done lots of searching here and have decided on the following:

    OME 3" lift with 886 coils and Dakar leafs
    Spidertrax 1.25" spacers
    285/70/17 BFG ATs on the stock Rims.

    Just want to make sure that this setup will work. :confused:

    Don't care about a bit of rubbing - just don't want major rubbing.

    You should be good with the OME setup. The only question I would have is why did you decided to go with the 886's? I know they are typically recommended for people adding extra weight to their front end (i.e. winch).

    I have the OME rear setup with the full Dakar leaf pack and N182's... so far I've been very happy.

    I think you have to run the spacers if you go with a larger tire on the stockers... to avoid having the tire rub the UCA... No?

    Plus they give the truck a wider stance with the stock wheels too.

    Need the spacers to clear the UCA with 285/70/17. Also I like the wider stance.

    I have a friend who put in the 886's and likes them. I've ridden in his Tacoma and didn't noticed that the ride was to rough or firm. Also, won't have to worry about any sag in the future. :D

    You have different rims... the stock wheels don't have enough backspacing.

    From what I can see from your pics, you are running aftermarket wheels. The difference in backspacing makes up for not having to use spacers.

    BTW, nice truck! :)

    Yah, still haven't 100% decided on the 885 vs 886. But I might add an ARB bumper later and with my fat a$$ :eek: in the cab.....
