He's a fighter! Poor little guy! I hope Mamma and the girls are doing well too. The weeks will go faster than you think, and hopefully you can visit him sometimes. :)

They are all doing well and the mom took to nursing when they got home, so that was a good sign. They live nearby and the owners are good friends, so I will get to visit often :bananadance:

I wonder how my 11yr old pup is going to like him .

I was wondering about that too! LOL! :D As long as he likes other dogs, he should be okay with the puppy.

Congrats on the pup... The time will fly until you get to bring him home. Don't forget to puppy proof the house :D I don't envy you the housebreaking :p

You'd be surprised how much a dog will tolerate "their" pup, with a little help from you.

Does he have a name yet?

This is my dog playing with this pups Dad :D. He loves other dogs, especially little ones.

House is pretty puppy proof, just have to remember to keep the shoes put away and close the bedroom door and we should be pretty good. I'm going to crate train him, so that will help. Also I'm home all day and the bf is home all night :D.
I think they will get along great, my dog will get tired of him as he is old, but he will tolerate him well as he is very gentle. I think it will help training the little guy to have a lead to follow.

No name just yet, we are working on that .

As long as you introduce him into the house as a pup you'll be okay. The older dog will get his bluff in just to prove he is the alpha dog but feed them separately and you'll avoid any problems. By the way the pup won't care who the alpha dog is...he may even attack the older dog wanting to play.....love him to pieces...so many of them need homes out here....:)

This is my best friend Sam. He's a British Golden Retriever. He got an eye infection when he was 4 months old. The eye specialist gave us oitments, drops and pills and nothing stopped the infection. It got worse so it had to come out. The poor pup has been through hell. He's young and has adjusted to just one eye. He's 17 months old now.
The pirate pic was my wife's idea.

He's beautiful! One eye won't slow him down! We've got a beautiful collie on the rescue website who is going through treatment for blastomycosis and lost an eye because of it recently. He had one brown and one blue, but had to lose the brown one--he's still happy as a clam! Oh, and the pirate pic is really cute! :D

The old dog (Chubby) is very mellow and great with all animals, there won't be any issue with him trying to dominate. He is not food protective either, we can take food out of his mouth or push him away from his food bowl and pretend to eat from it and he just looks at us like we are crazy. I'm going to teach the puppy the same thing. Chubby has been around small dogs and puppies before and plays very gentle with them, in the 9 years I've had him he has never even snapped at another person or animal and he just walks away if a dog snaps at him. :D
They will get along great, no concerns there. But the new pup is going to wear out Chubby wanting to play all the time ;). I think Chubbs calm mellow demeanor will rub off on the pup after some time.
    Can't wait to introduce them!

Well with his old age he has already lost about 20lbs of his mass, he use to be a muscular 90lbs and now he is down to a slim 70lbs. But he still loves to eat!! :hungry:

How is your newest getting along??
