I think the time has maybe come.
I have a shitty commute and I'm looking to get into an elec. or something that can use the HOV lanes.
So, I may be looking to part out suspension and wheels, maybe a stereo.
    Or the whole thing together.

I'm not 100% sure I want to do this, but I'm thinking about it.

It has Icon extra travl fronts w/ total choas UCA's
Deaver leaf pack and Icon reservoir rears shocks
Wheelers 16" steel wheels and pretty new tires. Cooper a/t's?
    black head/tail lights (not painted)
    pioner touchscreen avic-f900
    security system
It has a TRD electric locker rear end, it's wired up and has the button but I still have not bought the computer for it.
    140,000 ish miles
far as i know, im the 2nd owner I got it at 60k, no wrecks, mild offroading, sadly none lately:(

I'll get some pics up this week if Im still serious.

Are you able to keep the truck and get a cheap used commuter? Not to jinx you but I have known a few folks who sold off their fave cars/trucks to accommodate a job commute, then to either lose/leave the job shortly thereafter. Unless of course you know that this is your long term career and intend to not move closer to your work or can always buy another truck later on down the road.

I should be pretty safe at work. And no way will I move closer

Thinking about the Nissan leaf lease, $199 a month (less than gas I spend)
I'll get free charging at work too:)

bank the cash from the truck and save it for a rainy day.

I'm giving it a few weeks to think it all over.
And time to take the truck back to stock , maybe.

Wouldn't a blow up doll be cheaper than a new Nissan Leaf? Just kidding of course. If I lived in a city and I could shave even 10 minutes off a 60 minute drive using the HOV lanes I'd be in an electric vehicle ASAP.

Keep it and buy a cheap runner? I used to have a 99 Jetta that got 35 on the highway going the speed limit. And about 30 going uh.. faster. :D Fun car to drive on the highway. I know I would regret selling the truck and not replacing it with a truck.

Why not look into the Prius C? $199/month lease as well. 53mpg/city-46mpg/hwy.

I'm just not a fan of Nissan, TBH. Plus, if you ever want to take a trip or are out all day running errands, will the Leaf's charge be enough for you? Also, look into charge times.

If you can swing the $199 a month and keep the truck... why not do that?
