Mike you have put me on to something good here. Hopefully they make it legal to track WOUNDED deer with dogs... In VA where I hunted last November they hunt deer with dogs... Those people treat their dogs like shit and would probably go to jail if they didn't live in the backwoods of bumfuck nowhere...

 

I get to be the "friend with the truck" today. Helping a buddy move into a new place with his wife and two kids.

 

AFAIK it is completely legal as long as you use someone on this list. It's a free service and they only ask to be compensated for gas/time via a tip. I don't think they ask but I would think it's the right thing to do.

 

Been there done that. As long as I get fed along the way I'm happy to do it.

Using a dog to help find an animal you shot to kill and eat would seem to be a logical thing. Amirite?

 

Its legal in MD also. Private individuals provide service ,most on call 7/24 in season .

 

All he's gotta do is find it which he's a bauss at. Don't underestimate Dutchy, he's named after Arnold in the Predator.

Anybody have a suggested engine oil they use. I have to change it today and would rather do it myself than take it to some shop since mechanic isn't open and I can't during the week

 

He is a bit of a hike from my property. The closest guy is in EB and thats an hour 30 from my property... The deer is dead but I can't find it... At this point I can't eat the meat but I will still tag it when I find it because that was the deer I shot and I am not going to take another one in order to fill the tag that is technically already filled...

Respect for the animal is key tho. The deer gave its life because of my mistake. It was my first bow kill and now I know what to do differently.

I got the jitters out so now I think i can see another deer and not convulse from adrenaline...

I use what the dealer uses... Usually mobil 1...

 

haha well right now its looking way different.
pulled the diff's out today to send them out to get regeared and a front locker.
also sending the CV's out to be remanufactured.

not looking forward to putting the skids back on.. they are really tweaked. I think I'm going to try to straighten them out and weld some reinforcements.

idk about 4cylinder, but I use mobil 1 5w30 synthetic

 

While they are out I might as well come over and make some cardboard templates on a day you are free

I don't want to sell them... I think those laws only apply if I planned on selling them... Im not no bulletproof fabbing theif.

But really how many "variations" can an IFS skid have? They all bolt in the same spot and have the same bends... For the most part atleast.
