I just bought an 09 DC TRD 4wd (white). I need to add some manliness to it but am on a limited budget...I am thinking of a toytec lift but want to see what you guys think...So, what would you buy if you had a bone stock truck (except seat covers and a few stickers) and someone gave you a thousand bones??? I am not interested in wheels or tires since I have thot covered just yet to put on (no lift)...thanks

Spacer lift, bumper stickers, ejector seat, etc.
I'd go with Bilsteins or the OME kit for a lift, and then do a Satoshi, and then get a decent stereo. ;)

Stick on hood scoop from Autozone.
I would save it until I made a couple more hundred dollars so I could get the Toytec ultimate lift. ;)

Derek is a smart man! Save up. Do research on the forum on different lifts. That way when you are READY you can do it all at once lift, tires/wheels, and uca's.

I'm in the same boat as you on this one. Just bought my 09 and I was thinking the same thing about buying the lift now. I don't want to mess with UCA's and alignment issues, so I'm just going to do 5100's at 1.75 and the AAL in the rear.......even it out and it will still let me get some bigger tires in there. I have made the decision to wait until I have around $2000 saved up so I can do lift + wheels/tires at the same time. It will be a bigger makeover with the whole thing done at one time.

Just save up for a few more months and do it right.

Colton: Did you upgrade your stereo? I was very disappointed with my factory..Looks like the majority recommends 5100s over spacers?? I have subs and an amp i pulled from my titan but dont have anywhere to put them...I plan on using wheels and tires from the titan after i buy adaptors but Im still torn between a 3" or 6" (im can here the perverted comments now)...3" is more budget friendly..as far as waiting? I dont have that word in vocab. I just bought my new wifee a ride so I better strike while she is giving the go ahead!!!!!!

I'd apply it toward an upgraded to 4x4 fund for me... otherwise since you already got it.... if you're gunna wheel I'd start investing in wheels, tires, lift, armor (skids, undercarrige armor like Bud's, bumpers), PIAA lighting, ect ect. Also some anesthetic things too if you want. Depends what your focus is.

Bone stock truck, first thing I'd buy would be some suspension components so I can lift the truck up 3". That would be the first order of business. Then wheels and tires.

$26 isn't that bad for AT&T right now if you plan on holding it for a while. 52 low of 20 and 52 high of 32.
The market is not the no brainer investment it was in JAN-FEB but there are still some gems to be found.

to the OP: Is your 401K maxed? Is your IRA maxed? Are your credit cards paid off? Is your truck paid off? Any school loans? If you have kids are the 529's funded adequately? Do you have an emergency reserve of cash in a money market or similar vehicle to cover unanticipated expenses? If you answered yest to all of the above questions you can fritter your "limited budget" on truck mods and help the economy recover with your consumer spending, just make sure you take care of yourself first.

4" Camburg Race Spindles and Icon 2.5" ext travel Coilovers in the front for about 5"of lift and for the rear All-Pro 3" leaf pack and Fox 2.0 Resi's converted to piggyback and custom valved by DownSouth Motorsports. 17x9" KMC XD Addicts w/ 4.5 inch Backspacing and -12 Offset. Wrangler Duratracs 285/70/17. K&N CAI, Exhaust, Carriage Works Billet Grill, Custom Bed bar with ProComp fog lights,DirtKing Fabrication front bumper w/ 3 HID converted Hellas, Demello rear PreRunner bumper, Tinted windows, Full System w/ 2 10s, Garmin 265WT, ClearHLM. Theres more I just cant think of it right now.
Since the Op didn't ask for the " how should I invest my $1000.00 or pay off my debts" question. I personally save an extra 200-300 bucks and get some 2.5" Fox's w/ Resi.
