Dang Jon! The cut is scary. Could have been MUCH worse. Good reminder to always play it safe I guess.

Oddly enough, it didn't hurt at all really. (I'm assuming it was because I had a new blade on the saw?) I just sat there briefly entertained with seeing the muscle moving back & forth before it filled with blood haha. Pulling tape/bandaids hurts worse.

Yeah, no shit. There's not much between it and tendons. And my band saw techniques have been less than kosher. :anonymous:

My dad got a similar cut, from a broken cutting disk. Fucking shooting blood everywhere.

I gotta ask Jon, how do you cut with a bandsaw? I work with portables at work all the time, and I can't quite wrap my head around how you cut your arm there. Glad your alright though!

Hard to explain. I guess I'm used to operating the saw with the right hand, but with the shape of the backing plate, it makes it difficult to trim a small section off if you're holding it with the other. Crossed my arm in front of the saw to push it through on the other side of the backing plate. It was like 2am. :anonymous:

Got a lot of the rear done. Still waiting on my steel order so I can finish up the tire mount and install the sway bar, but you get the idea.

Full flex. End to end is 26" difference in height with the 14" shocks.

Yeah I was getting tired of rust.

BTW, obviously more is better, but any idea how much shank on the 7/8" heim joints can safely be extended past the tube adapters? I'm a little concerned that I made the damn rear upper links too short.

Maximum strength is 1.5x the diameter of the threads... so is it 7/8" shank? if so... 1.5 x .875 = 1.3125

Thanks guys. I'm assuming the jam nut is included in the equation?

NO. The jam nut threads don't count as thread engagement, just whats in the bung.

Finishing up the tire carrier and sway bar. Gotta weld a T handle together and reinforce the sway bar tube and it's good to go.

    [IMG]DSC09923 by wyo_taco45, on Flickr

Seemed nobody was interested in buying the dually hubs that the front axle originally came with. Then I realized I could cut em up, use the hubs for the tire carrier, and have a spare set of rotors and wheel studs. :D

Whiskey bend on the currie sway bar arms to clear the tubing. They're basically at full bump with room to spare under the spare.
