When Toyota reimbursed you for the frame coating, did they also warranty it if it still rusts apart?

I will be quite honest, I don't see anything from either the LSC paperwork or from the repair order my service writer wrote for Toyota saying anything about a warranty if anything happens to the frame. I am going to email Toyota tonight to see what they have to say.

They explained to me that it is a one time deal. If your truck passes the inspection and gets the CRC treatment, that ends all obligations of their liability for any future rust issues with the frame. I have not seen anything in writing from Toyota yet to that effect, but we will find out Wednesday.

Nothing for VA yet, checked this morning. Although I could be wrong, given that I called toyota and bitched about it, they probably excluded my VIN...

So, my truck failed the frame inspection today. I was told I'll hear from corporate by Tuesday to approve the new frame. I was also told that the E0D didn't include new lca's or leaf springs. But, I think he is misinformed....he gave me this nice printout that shows they are to be replaced.

So, here it is for everyone to print out & take with them if necessary.

New guy here, had my 27k 06 garage kept tacoma inspected last week and was told I'm going to get a new frame. Dealer says my costs will be between $500-1000 which I feel is unfair. This truck is flawless except for the frame and why should I be charged anything for a recall. Anyone else have this issue, and how did you get it resolved.

    Welcome to TW!
I would call... Everybody: corporate, other dealers, BBB, and anybody else I could think of.
They should be replacing frames free of charge. Some have received free labor for installing upgrade parts! Sounds a little inconsistent on Toyotas part, to me.

Take it to another dealer.....and see what they say.

It's a recall and you should be paying ZERO for it!!!

If your dealership continues to want to charge you - DO NOT allow them to perform the service until you an agreement of ZERO cost (in writing). Or else you'll have to get Toyota involved.

Are they tacking on brakes or other parts not with the recall?

In one of the various threads discussing frame replacement a member posted a pdf of the included parts in the frame swap. IIRC that individual paid Zero. Try searching for it and if's a Toyota printout bring it to your dealer and / or contact corp.
