This is my first Tacoma. I usually keep my vehicles until the bitter end. The only reason I would sell it is if I need something bigger.

Had mine 5 years and 130,000 miles. Been a great truck, but it's time to upgrade to something bigger, more comfortable, and with more towing and hauling capability. I'm ordering a 2015 F150...I pick it up in May.

You are a brave man (First year Ford). No way will that new F-150 be sorted out at launch. Prepare for several recalls and many, many initial teething issues.

For your sake, I hope not. But there hasn't been a problem free first year Ford truck, ever. A safer bet would be, if you like the 2015 F-150, buy a new or left over Tacoma now, drive for 2-3 years and get the new F-150 after 3 years and some time has passed to shake those trucks down.

Just picked up my 2015 AC OR and I'd love to keep it forever, and eventually getting another vehicle as my daily driver then turning the taco into an overland and/or wheelin beast.

Problem is I have a ton of equity in this truck and only plan on putting about 3000 miles a year on it. This means my trade in value would be huge and possibly allow me to step up to a class of vehicle I would never be able to afford straight up.

    So...we'll see what happens.

As of right now I plan to keep my truck for a while. I have gone through vehicles rather rapidly and the longest I kept one was my 2006 Ranger I bought brand new and traded for the second to worst car I ever bought a 2009 Grand Cherokee.

I love my Tacoma, and it's basically been sitting for the last 10 months while I've been in Korea so I'll go back to the states to a still brand new truck

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
Only have 90k original miles on my 07. So I plan to be driving it until the frame rusts apart. Maybe by then they'll have a diesel option for the Tacoma? Of course we'll have flying cars by then and all be eating soylent green. So, it's pretty far off I guess.

100% satisfied with mine now and for the foreseeable future.

I've surprised myself and think that I'm selling my Tacoma for either a 2014 Grand Cherokee SRT or a Lincoln MKX. I would like to have a vehicle with all the new technology offerings, where as Toyota (espicially Tacomas) tends to be very conservative when it comes to that type of options.
It makes me laugh when others say they would never buy a 1st year model as they want to allow the manufacturer to iron out the issues.
I had a 96 Tacoma that had frame, leaf spring, blower motor, noisy clutch release bearings, almost 20 years later and Toyota still hasn't "ironed" out the issues.
My family has been driving Toyota's since 1971 and I have had a 84 4runner, 86 Camry, 96 Tacoma and now 08 Tacoma, but I think the American manufacturers are coming out with some really impressive things.

Otrattw switches, black vinyl armrest mod, clazzio leather seat covers with heaters, flowmaster dual exhaust, hornblasters train horns,
I've got an 09 with 57000 miles on it. Should be good for awhile. Use the motorcycle during the warm months really holds the mileage down on the truck.

My 2012's a keeper - eventually I'll get something that gets much better mpg for the daily commute (but NEVER a Prius...). Planning out the mods to match the plan!

I plan on keeping my 06 TRD off road at least until my wife's fusion is paid for 4 more years left on that and I still want another taco
