Travelling for work is what is keeping me from adopting another pet, though i dd manage 13 years with one company where I was driving where i needed to go, and my Alaskan Malamute - Conan was able to join me. Did lots of camping out, and actually never had a problem finding a motel to stay at that would accept pets. Worksites were a bit more challenging, but I could usually find a secluded, safe place away from the machinery and forklifts, where I could tie him up. On rare occasions he got to stay in the truck with the a/c running. He lived to 16 years.

I just submitted a baseline oil sample to Blackstone. The OEM filter allowed for 11 PPM silica, where as the average is 9 PPM, so that's the benchmark the Donaldson filter has to hit. The best aftermarket filter I have tested was an AFE dry filter (IIRC), and it was around 300 PPM silica.

Rib. she broke my rib. It was a doctor. And there were no golf balls. Anyway, it still hurts, but I expect it to hurt for at least a couple weeks

Yuck. Like sneezing sucks, right? I've never had a broken rib.

But I did run over my thumb with the creeper yesterday...
