    Hi Kevin.

I think most companies (or a lot) pay shift differential. For the gov't (civil service) I get 10% night diff pay for the hrs from 10PM to 6AM, and an additional 25% for the Sunday hours (9 hrs every other Saturday night/Sunday morning).

Good to know. The last ad I saw was a temp night shift. Idk if it was temp then move to another shift or just temp work.

I work 6p to 6a and get a 25% night differential after 13 years I hope to not work a day shift again for a very long time. I also hate alarm clocks so night shifts are much better for me.

    Nothing? :( That sucks.

That's one of the reasons I stay on nights. I swore off the reindeer games of dayshift and management positions when I retired from active duty. My supervisor works days, has 10 times the headaches to deal with as I do, and when you add the shift differential to my pay rate, he only makes $53 dollars more a pay period. But night shifts aren't for everyone. Our kids are grown and my wife and I have managed to keep the same days off, so it works for us. Plus I'm drawing my military retirement which gives me some flexibility with regards to how much pay is acceptable to our lifestyle.

Mornin' all. It's going to be a long night.

Some pictures from the weekend though.

We took my Uncle's new to him Frontier. I think the Taco handles better in the turns and I dislike their bed rail system.
