Holy hangover batman.... Was hanging out with Josh last night, messing around with computers, drinking beer, having a good time. Stumbled my ass home and ended up falling over in someones lawn. Not sure how but I remember laughing my ass off after it happened. Got home, went to go to bed, tripped over a dog and face planted.

Woke up, sore all over. Good times.

This ease of walking home is turning into a gauntlet.

So far its claimed you falling in someone's yard.
And my phone bouncing down the sidewalk at 4am breaking the screen.

And we thought this would be easy... Lol.

I know right? When I timed the walk its 15 minutes. I have no reason as to why it took me 45min to get home.

I also dropped my phone, but the case saved it.

Scangauge is cool but over priced IMO.

If you have an Android phone Torque app is $5 and then get a bluetooth OBDII reader for your truck. Those are about $25. Then you can read everything your ECU can plus you can customize all the gauges.

Purchased that app a couple years ago. I still have yet to get the OBDII adapter though. I was going to use my old HTC Incredible since it has an AMOLED display, but it's only a 3.5" display.

I got the HP touchpad for $20 used. I have 2 of them that run Torque and a security camera app only. Old Android tablets are fantastic for Torque and you can find them cheap.

(Note: HP touchpad does not come with Android stock)

Engine Link or Dash Command are popular, I've never used them.

Nothing competes to Torque for customization.

Colby any idea if the apple apps will read out trans and coolant temps like the torque app does? I've been researching them pretty heavy as I intend to use my iPad mini as my external gauges but can't find specifics. I've heard good things about dash command.

Dash Command has a lot of stuff on it but the layout on the torque app is better. I have an iphone now so I use my wifes phone with torque and I like it better. She just want let me keep it. lol. She said she needs her phone

So you can use more than one device at a time with the OBDII adapter? Which one did you get. I have several old Android phones I could use.

I believe Torque is also available for iOS.

no, its just like any other bluetooth device. connect to it, if you want to connect another device to it, you have disconnect the first.

old phones work perfectly for it.

I see some adapters have both BT and WiFi. Maybe both could be used that way... I really want something with a larger AMOLED display. Maybe I could hunt down an old GNote for cheap. I tested Torque with an old OG Moto Droid, but even underclocked and undervolted, it over heated to quickly. I plan on using my old DInc with GPS Test to replace dead compass.
