It still feels slow man. This truck has been a departure from what I'm used to even with the supercharger. I've modded it to make it faster & it still feels pedestrian to me. If I did something to make it slower I'd probably get bored and sell it. Then again, probably not.

Hey! Just wanted to introduce myself. A long time Jeep owner here. I think I have had 5 or 6 Jeeps from Wranglers, Cherokees, to a Diesel Liberty. My most recent was a 2008 4 Door Rubicon with 35s and all the crap to go with it along with a Ursa Minor J30 Camper Top (Which was awesome). Anyways sold the Jeep a couple months ago and I got a 2014 DCSB with the Off Road Package.

Couldn't be happier with the truck, it is stock for now with an All-Pro Pack Rack I just finished, hoping for a Tent on top of it soon. I'm kind of going from rock crawling to more of the expo direction.

Anyways I am on the Western Slope by Glenwood Springs, always looking to get out on the trail, at least when work and the family allows. Hoping to get out to Moab in the near future for a day or two since its that time of the year again.

I also started another Colorado Group about a year ago, www.cotrailruns.com if any one is interested in checking it out were still a small group, about 30 members with about 10 or so that are pretty active but certainly a great group of people, mostly Jeepers but a few Toyota's, obviously I would love to have some more Taco guys in the group, hey it is free. ( I didn't post here to recruit, but just throwing it out there!)

Hope to get out on the trail with some of you fellow Tacoma owners!

    Lucas

That sucks, guess it gives you an excuse to upgrade if you want too. I just found my frist big dent either someone back into it or bumped into at work or somthing. Was able to pop it back out with some magnets.

I just want to clarify this technically is not a Tepui tent and my group buy is not affiliated with their company. But I am working with the manufacture in China.

Mreimann, if your interested shoot me a PM would love to get a third person to split shipping costs with.

Well if I get a tent then I really need to get a tube bender. This might get a little more expensive than I want it too

Full length Rocky Mountain Rack with 40" lightbar, Alternating strobe rear dust lights. I used a warm weekend in March 2022 to finally install my brand new from old stock 2000 4Runner driver's seat. $800 directly from the factory in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.
Hoyal told me to look into it a little further before I bought mine. Really there is no difference other than the type of ladder used & what logo has been silk screened onto it & the cover. Tepui uses a telescoping ladder, everyone else uses an extending one. Like he said to me, "The one with the lowest/best price is the one to get."
I've only used mine a couple of times but I'm THRILLED to be able to tent camp again. I bought my Tepui Ayer from Softopper in Gunbarrel for $750 a couple of months ago.
As an interesting side benefit, it has reduced 4R drag co-efficient so now I get 1-1.5 MPG better than before even though I'm 150 lbs heavier.

For sure a bed rack is the way to go on the Tacoma's. Like I told Brian, my only issue with buying a non brand name (even though they are the same) is who are you going to call if you have an isseu. Companies like ARB, and tepui have proven they have great customer service.

Does anyone know the CO laws regarding LED light bars and the use of them on road?

I would never use them around town/highways but on a back road with no lights, is it okay to use it? I'd more than likely have it mounted on my bumper or in the valence below. Not up top on my roof or anything.

You can't have more than 4 forward facing lights on at one time. And if it's an off road use light, I don't believe it can be energized on the roadway..

There's some laws about number of lights, and height of said lights, but that being said, I don't think anyone in this state cares.

I leave my LED pods on all of the time, and anytime I'm on small 2 lane highways or what not, I turn on all of my lights. Just as long as you turn them off for oncoming drivers, I don't see a reason why anyone would have a problem with them.

Lets see, headlights, 4 behind the grill, and two LED pods = 8 forward facing lights. :D

I know the law states 4 lights on. I'm assuming a 12" LED bar counts as 1?

And I would turn the light off when oncoming traffic is approaching but was just wondering if there is a law about them.

This link works pretty good to search any and all Colorado statutes, 18 criminal code, 33 wildlife code and 42 traffic code.

Lights and lighting requirements are gonna be in the 42 code section under equipment/lightning.
