Billies 5100's front set to 1.75 plus 1/4 taco lean spacer. Rears Billies plus AAL for a 2" leaf. 265/75/16 BGF's. Double din Kenwood stereo w/bluetooth and steering wheel controls and JBL speakers front & rear. Heavy duty battery. Billet grill blacked out. K&N air filter and MBRP cat-back. Just tuned it up new plugs and new front brake pads. Steel powered coated tailgate cap. Billet Grill painted black & factory roof racks. Oh new head lights thanks to toyota.
OK good weekend working on the truck. Installed billies on all four corners.
I set the fronts at 1.75 no lift in the rear. I just wanted to level the truck and get a better ride w/better then OEM shocks. I also installed the 1/4 spacer to adjust for taco lean. Now I'm sitting at 37" even on the front and 36.5 on the rear. I'm hoping that the front settles at 36.5 Anyone else have this results after installing 5100's at 1.75

    Thanks
    Jim

PS next weekend installing new front brake pads. Thinking Hawks ceramic.

I would say if its only a half inch off it should settle close to the rear.

bilstein set at 1.75, Racho 5000 rear with 4 leaf kit, floor mats, high lift jack, pull hook in hitch, bed rail corner braces, severe duty brake pads and devil horns on the grill....
or just but an extra leaf in the rear...If you haven't done spring work before, bring it to a local LEAF spring shop, tell them you want it level and they can either arch your existing set to match or put in heavier leaves or an extra leaf and then arch to match. Personally, I would let the shop do it...I always seem get them too stiff or too high.

The same happened to me. Set the billies to 1.75 and it sits a little higher in the front but from an airplane you can not see it.

I was going to set the billies at .85 but after measuring like 5 times figured the 1.75 would be best. So if I add one leaf to the rear that makes sense. Would I have to do another wheel alignment after adding the rear leaf??

Do you have the 3 or 4 leaf pack from Toyota in the back? Because I set my Billies at 1.75 in the front, but I have the 4 leaf pack from Toyota, and the truck sits level. I think there's a TSB on the rear leaves, not being able to handle the payload they were rated for. That's how I got mine. I was bringing a sofa from a store home and bounced off the bumpstops on every bump home. Called the dealer and told them this, they said there's a TSB, bring it in, and we'll swap springs. Never had the problem since, and my truck, like I said, sits level.

No alignment needs after rear spring work...and I have my front billies set at 1.75 with the TSB four leaf pack. If you can convince your local dealer to put them on, you should be set. Tell them you were hauling gravel to fix your driveway, or such and the truck squatted too low and kind of fishtailed...

I would but my taco is a 2010 prerunner so I think i'm out of any type of warranty. I want to tow a 24' boat (some day) so I would want the four leaf. Should I add a leaf or just replace it for a four leaf?
