What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Dropped her off to get the rear bumper replaced due to a parking lot fender-bender. The body shop says they'll have it for about 3 weeks. In return they gave me a rav4 as a rental...feel like I'm driving a matchbox car.

 

Realized I need to relocate my horns:

 

Painted the OEM Skidplate with Rustoleum Truck Bed Liner. Came out pretty good and like the black look over the stock grey.

 

Install went easy. Posted in the BenWa thread w some pics. Love this mod.

Just get some "fancy" horns, like Hella Supertones.

 

Put a Blue Sea dual usb outlet in the center console, to keep the rear passengers happy!

 

Used the existing thingy behind the back seats as a walkie/ charger holder, works perfect flipped upside down!

 

How did you wired it?

 

12v + from an add-a-circuit and 12v - to a grounding point under the console. Super easy

 

I got my windows tinted today. Last week i plasti dipped my rims, badges and grille.

 

Went shopping for the Taco... Ordered KMC XD Enduro's with Duratrac Load C's... can't wait to get them in!

You did not improve your headlight output, and all you're doing is blinding oncoming traffic with your obnoxious blue lights.

Thanks to you jerks I had to go get LED bulbs for my dome and map lights.

Got them at Autozone.
These are the map bulbs.


$12.99 each. Ridiculously bright.





I forgot to take a pic of the dome bulb but it looks kinda like this


The package has a little "try me" button and the have colored versions that didn't seem very bright (not that I wanted colored) but the white is very bright. Maybe not quite as bright as the map bulb but way brighter than stock. It was like $7



The map lights are so bright that I may leave the stock yellowy dim one in the passenger side in case dolphingirl needs to turn it on while I'm driving.

I remember my first set of HIDS, later on bought a TRS retrofit and used the bulbs and ballast with them after being flashed 1000x
Then I started flashing people with HIDS in halogen housings lol daylight!
