My driver side power window switch appears to be going bad. I can get the driver side window up but I have to apply a ridiculous amount of upward pressure on the switch. I have no control of the passenger side, but I can lean over and roll it up and down with the passenger side switch.

What part do I need? Is this a straightforward replacement? I have done a couple of searches on the 1st gen forum and didn't locate any tutorials. I would greatly appreciate some insight from anyone who has been down this road.

It's getting that time of year where you can drive with the window down in Fla! Need to get this fixed!

Take the 5 mins to take the master switch assembly out and clean the switch contacts.

I have a good feeling that they are just mucked up and super dirty making it difficult to roll the driver's side window up (the contact that gets the dirtiest of all)

I had the same symptoms: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1s...djik-mans-laugh-him-build-13.html#post5935420

Cleaning the contacts made it work like new again.
